I really love this place. I stayed here for 6 weeks with a Japanese host family 2 summers ago. I remember borrowing their bike, and riding down the river with no destination in mind, just exploring the beauty of the area. I knew nothing of Hino, so I simply wanted to explore it on my own accord, which made it really feel like an adventure! So as I was riding down the river, I spotted a golden temple spire in the distance off one side of the river. So I decided I wanted to find out what that temple was. I made my way towards the spire that was peeking over trees and buildings, trying to navigate the most direct path, almost like following the North Star or something. Eventually, after winding through many streets and hitting many dead ends, I reached Takahatafudo temple! It was gorgeous, and I was so happy with my discovery. It's just so satisfying and fun to explore something without google, and find something beautiful. What I love about Japan is that it's so safe, you can do that pretty much anywhere! It's the perfect place to get lost and wander aimlessly. Thank you so much for doing this video, it really takes me back! I actually requested this video a few weeks ago, so I'm so happy you made it happen! You just allowed this quarantined American to relive one of his favorite places across the whole world. I couldn't be more grateful.
前川次郎 and I looked on you as Japanese...you used a Japanese account (= 岡部倫太郎 on a Japanese channel). I think that you noticed we made comments there (Your command of the Japanese language IS perfect) and we have been good friends for half a century.
Anyone else always wonder what peoples stories are? Like everytime I see a person in his videos I always wonder what they're going to do, why are they there, whom are their friends etc.
I seriously love these places so much, a small river, gorgeous houses, a bunch of trains, honestly that's all my life needs, i could die happy with only that
Whenever I watch these videos I start feeling something like a longing for an alternative life. It's almost a fear of missing out or a nostalgia for something that never happened and most likely never will. Like moving to Japan and living there. In this global world we have so many options and opportunities to go live in other places and start a new life - new work, new apartment, new commute and new social circle. Makes me kind of sad that there are so many opportunities and nice countries to move, live in or visit at least but we've got only one life and very little time.
As a resident in the area, I enjoyed watching the video as if I was walking around my hometown. the landscape where I was born makes me feel relieved and reminds of childhood. I'd appreciate how hard you record what Japan has.
Thanks mate, it's great to have such a very unique and authentic experience of Japan when it's difficult anyone in the world to travel anywhere due to COVID-19. Beautiful country, and what a neighborhood. Many thanks, and with lots of love from Korea.
Thank you for the wonderful walk! Your videos really help me through my depression. I watch them and imagine what fun I'd have if I could explore all these places like you. And while dreaming about those possibilities, I forget about my sadness for a bit. So thank you from the heart. I hope you enjoy your day and greetings from Croatia! 💕✨
Same here. Health problem plus social anxiety make travelling to Japan seems like an impossible dream for me. Watching Ramblac journey across Japan is a cure lol
Really the place of One Week Friends!! 一週間フレンズの舞台だ!!! Lots of locations captured in this video can be seen in the anime. Minamidaira station, Asakawa river, and the Keio rail corporation is even the sponsor of the anime. I have lived in western Tokyo for eight years, until just two months ago. This video reminds me of when I visited these places, how steep the hill was, the dark forest in the park, the view from the top of it, and the relaxed feeling when I was there.
I loved this place so much! The park is just serene! I love how at the top of the hill, if you face West towards the mountains you hear nothing but cicadas and see the beautiful mix of rooftops and hilly forest scattered around. And on the other side, you hear the bustling life of Tokyo to the East, with trains whizzing by and the constant whirr of traffic in the background. Such a calming place.
Hello Rambalac. I loooove your videos so much. It is as when you are in Japan by yourself;) I miss metropolitan tokyo aeea. I was 6 times in Japan from 1999 to 2008. Next time i hope i will be there is 2021🙂Can you make a video about uguisudani/iriya/nippori/ueno area? When i am in Tokyo i stay always at taito-iria-2-6-2 adress (sakura ryokan) very nice area🤗
1:01:11 Takahata Fudoson Kongo-ji Buddhist Temple built during Heian Period (794-1185). Tripadvisor hidden gem. Famous too for hydrangea plantings. 7500 hydrangeas of 200 varieties.
And quite a popular place for New Years visit. For several days starting the new year the line to enter the temple actually starts at the train station.
Whenever, I see your videos, it's remind me of my childhood. I used to watch Doreamon, Shinchan, Ninja Hathori and other Japanese cartoons. To see these elements such as houses, trains, river and people in real life, I feel like i am in japan. Such a great way to explore the Japan. Looking forward to your new videos.
i love this small streest and tight narrow roads with private houses,i wish i could live in japan, greate place to live. All those streets, alleys take you interesting place. Its very relaxing experience, especially rural areas my favorites.
This is another one of your great videos! Thank you! Here's a suggestion: I saw wonderful pictures of a region called Satoyama. Where there is a village that uses water from snow thaw to irrigate the rice fields, collected through a channel on the mountainside. The photos were by Tadashi Shimada on Satoyama "Harmony Shrine". Can't you toast us with one of your videos from this place?
Ikr! That's one thing I love about Japan. It has really great road conditions! They're all smooth and there's lots of cute small streets that can barely fit a car.
Rambalac, I wan't to give you a big thank you for all your videos and the good feelings they gave and still give me! I love to have your videos running in my office in the background to have a little calming break now and then. Now I sincerely consider to learn the language and move to Japan for a longer time. Even it is beautiful here in my home country of Switzerland, Japan is facinating me since many years now. Many people tell me a lot of different places I should go to live in... As you have seen most of Japan from its "true" side I thought to ask you. What regions or places would you recommend me to live in? I'm more of a country side type but also like to have a city in a 1 hour reach if possible. And I like rain very much but I'm not a fan of very cold temperatures. A huge thank you for your answer in advance.
@@Rambalac Thank you for your quick answer. I see, currently I'm going back and forth between Osaka and Sendai agglomeration. Btw if you ever come to switzerland to make films or holidays be my guest to ping me for recommendations or advice for a place to stay. I know every angel of this country. All the best!
Это видео мне очень понравилось,т.к.прогулка проходит по местам,в которых хочется еще раз побывать.тем более,что места эти симпатичные.так я сужу по этому видео.может я не прав,но это мое мнение.
I feel like I'm visiting an alien planet with each of your videos. Was that a cemetery towards the end of the video? Seems like a great city right there.
