The lack of a running commentary is better at putting you in the center of the experience. It's far more realistic, like you are physically in the moment. I love Alice's videos for this reason. Also, Alice does not seem to need the ego strokes of selfies and endless talk. She invites you in by simply being there.

Ah!!! Christmas in Old Quebec City! I was there in 2020 during the Winter Carnaval just before COVID hit. This glorious video has renewed my desire to return to this magical city, so I am planning my trip for the 2024 Winter Carnaval now! Winter is my favorite season - the cold, the sound of the wind, of snow and ice crunching underfoot, morning beauty and silence - peaceful, yet festive shops waiting to be explored and enjoyed by holiday shoppers. You captured it all. It's interesting how different the decorations are. There is a lot of red and white - not a lot of multicolored lights like in the States. Love that mural at Parc Felix LeClerc. There is something about enjoying a meal in a warm, brightly lit cafe when it's cold and snowy outside. Pure magic!!! Thank you, Alice, for sharing yet another wonderful sojourn with us all.

안녕 앨리스!^^ 작년에도 퀘벡 따라왔던 거 같은데 뉴욕 따라갔다가 이번에 오니까 진짜 느낌 다르네요 ㅋㅋ 뉴욕의 반짝반짝 성탄연말 분위기와는 또 다른 완전 신비한 겨울왕국 윈터원더랜드네요. 4:30 진짜로 눈 쌓인 지대루 된 크리스마스 트리군요. 5:09 하핫 두 에스키모. 근데 이거 의도된 것인가요? 아니면 얼른 쳌하심~ 근데 이 날씨에 이렇게 동동싸고 돌아다닌다는 건... 와.. 무슨 거의 사명감?... 감동 올라오는데요? 퀘벡의 인적 없이 눈 날리는 거리를 보면서 센과 치히로가 생각 나네요. 치히로가 처음 이상한 동네에 들어갔을 때 축제 준비는 다 끝나 보이는데 사람은 아무도 없는 그런...ㅋㅋ 하지만 곧 시간 딱 되면 갑자기 어디선가 나타난 사람들로 축제가 벌어지는~ 오늘도 방구석 랜선여행, 동화같은 퀘벡 올드타운 구경 잘 다녀왔어요~~ 감사해요 앨리스!☃
