Excellent observation. He really has a lot of things going on. He is very stable yet very fluid. He has the perfect dancer body - supple, strong, flexible and with every part of it under his control. He has the most graceful neck, upper body and shoulders to fingertips movements in the entire industry. Plus the fire in his eyes and the wide range of facial expressions he makes look so natural and not put-on. He really has a lot of soul when he dances.

@@arien_000 yep totally agree. So good to find someone in the comments see exactly what I see. Obviously we share a 'dancer's' eye? 😉I'm retired and about to hit 60 btw. So when I say 'decades' I mean it 😂

@@ShadyPastel wow, which dance genres do you do? I'm not a pro cuz where I come from, the dances I'm interested in aren't accessible for learning. Although I never stopped exposing myself to different arts, I come from a middle class family of lawyers, docs and engineers so growing up my interest in the all kinds of arts, humanities and philosophies were seen as whimsical and impractical. I do have a bit of background in gymnastics though cuz I was very flexible and could easily do splits, cartwheels and headstands, haha. Also as a student of Yoga and being interested in Daoism, Ten's movements reminds me a lot of a principle both share which is containing the softness within the strength and vise versa, like a perfect ying-yang balance. It is the way of the whole creation and it's fascinating to see it in dance. It makes him look like a force of nature.

@@arien_000 back in my day in Australia, it was called Theatrical Dance, which covered ballet, tap, jazz ballet, modern dance and cabaret. I also did some classes in Spanish Flamenco style. A lot of the styles they do now we never had, but I would've loved to have done hip-hop. I was too tall for ballet, and a bit awkward with it, I found it too restrained for my stage personality, but it's useful for the body conditioning. All the other styles including tap were more my jam. Think back to what was happening in the early 80s and 90s that was my era. I'm surprised you don't have a dance background, you seem to understand movement very well. I love what you said about Ten's movements and the connection to Yoga and Daoism. I can see what you mean!

@@ShadyPastel oh wow, you did all the dances I wanted to learn including flamenco. I also loved watching Latin dances and Chinese dances. And ballet and hip-hop are also awesome. I used to draw a lot as a kid and maybe I have a natural eye for beauty and harmony. So imagine how overwhelmed I was seeing Ten perform choreos to Action Figure, Taki-taki (cover) and Take off then seeing him do Dream in a dream and Birthday flawlessly just like that! I've seen different types of dances and I have also seen American, European, Latin American and Asian dancers, but I've never seen someone dance like that. It felt like he somehow integrated the best stuff from different genres into his movements but I can't quite pinpoint them cuz I don't have the technical knowledge of dance

I always call that move "the stalking" it's like a beast towards his pray. We being his pray of course and he's coming to get us ;)

I agree, but at the same time, if you think about it, he's so damn good he actually doesn't need a flashy outfit. Our eyes are instantly drawn to him purely because of his talent and stage presence and charisma. Maybe he also prefers feeling unencumbered?
