No, it isn't more efficient than a fixed wing aircraft. It's between helicopters and fixed wing plane, but it's heavy and costly on maintenance. Flight characteristics are even more dangerous than helicopters and even more prone to crash in case of failure.

@@JoJo-vm8vk time will tell, costs can be driven down due to purchase volume, once that happens then it will be cheaper and any new technology will have issues, these can also be resolved over time. I still stand by my comment that eventually it will become the norm. People said desktop computers will always be the go to, well that did not last long. When portable devices became available the same thing was said, now portable devices is where the market is. Thanks for your thoughts appreciate your insights.

I don't know how much fuel this aircraft consumes in vtol mode, but could solve most problems of cargo logistics in arctic Canada and Alaska, also in some mountainous regions around the world. I fly in Amazon basin and have flown in Outbacks
