Usually Saturday's upload would be a full flight, but not today. I moved the Breeze Airways inaugural A220 flight up from today to yesterday, so just a regular landing today. That said, it's a stunner of a landing! By popular demand, I finally sat on the left of the aircraft when landing at San Diego and what an amazing view it provides! San Diego already has one of the best approaches in the country, but the views you get of downtown when seated on the left side of the plane are unbelievable. To clarify, I normally sit on the right side when flying to San Diego, because of San Diego's geographic location. Since it's on the west coast of the Untied States, that means that 95% of domestic flights into San Diego come in from the east. If I were to sit on the left side for any of those flights, you'd be staring at the sun for the entire flight and my cameras would overheat. This particular flight was inbound from Honolulu, giving me the perfect opportunity to sit on the left side for this approach! Nice to see a video that has my house in it lol.. I wouldn't say 95% come from the east, as we have a ton of flights that come down the coast, staying in the same time zone. Have a look at the flightaware tracker sometime. But I can totally understand your point on sun/heat, as normally you would come in from somewhere to the east due to your home location. Really enjoyed this. I always like picking out the local landmarks and such.
The first time I visited San Diego I thought it had the best weather I ever experienced. A really great city with a lot of culture. The landing was amazing, esp the approach through the city at the end. A lot of Navy in SD.
As usual, another great video. I was watching and listening through my Bose headphones. The sound was super. Hearing the little kids chatting made it sound like I was right there. Whoever's kids they are, they sounded very well behaved and were a pleasure to hear. Awesome video and sound! Thank you!!

Scenery of SoCal doesn't disappoint. With the release of Top Gun/Maverick, flying by Miramar at 9:00 was a masterstroke!! You can admit it. You planned that, yes? 😉
The airport's single runway in the middle of a large city reminds me of the former Qingdao Liuting Intl Airport, which was also located in the middle of a large city with a single runway before it was replaced by the much larger Jiaodong Intl Airport

I ended those a long time ago because the simply didn’t perform. They got like 1/4th the views and took 4 times as long to edit. In the end, the views they were getting didn’t justify the amount of time it took to make them.
We went to San Diego on an American Airlines Airbus A321-231 back on October 2022. When we landed, the reverse thrust was so strong we could hear luggage being shifted during it. I’m thinking it’s because San Diego airport only has one runway and it’s a little shorter than the typical runways. But great video otherwise
Well, that depends. I love flying as many airlines and aircraft types as possible. Plus, if I played favorites, and flew the same airlines all the time, it'd get pretty boring on the channel. I guess, if I had to pick, I really love United's domestic product right now. Especially their Polaris offering. As for aircraft, I have always loved the A340-600. It's become a very rare aircraft now. I've only had the pleasure to fly on one once and that was a Virgin Atlantic example from JFK-LHR in 2017. But most of my "favorite" planes are more to do with my aviation enthusiast side than actual practicality. I just recently flew on an A318-100, which I was thrilled about due to them being so rare. If we're talking favorite aircraft from a pure passenger comfort perspective, I generally find Airbus aircraft to be more comfortable to fly on in general.
British Airways! The best! I got the thrill of a lifetime on the big B.A. (747) when I was given a tour of first class and the cockpit! Not many 747’s left tho and only one flew into SanDiego…..I loved watching her land!
