Thank you so much for finding one of my old videos. Tomita farm is best in July. I went there in September and it was a little late. It's very well-know to us but I guess it's not known to foreign visitors so I just wanted people to know about it. 😄 And the blue pond was once chosen by Apple to be one of the desktop pictures for Mac computers.
Hello, Yoshi-san. A very interesting video. Its three areas are very special. The color of the pond's water is almost surreal. It's not the usual blue or green. Could it be due to algae or bacteria? The third part is perfect. The water fall and the religious symbols make it a magical site. Very adequate for meditation and forest bathing. Thank you very much for this pleasurable moment. 🙏🏻
Wikipedia says that spring water around this area contains Aluminium hydroxide. It mixes with the river water that runs next to it and makes "colloid". The sun light reflects on the colloid to make the water look blue... It's too technical for me to fully understand it... 😄
Hokkaido can be very colorful in summer but in winter everywhere is white! So I'd like to go there in summer. Unfortunately lavender season was over but early summer maybe July would be the best! Thank you very much for watching! 😄
Good news! Japan is opening its borders to tourists starting October 11! Missing Japan so badly that I just posted our Hokkaido trip last 2020 on my channel. Here's to hoping to travel to Japan again
Actually the sound of waterfall was so comfortable that I thought of staying there for half an hour or so to keep recording so it would make a nice ASMR video. But we needed to go back to Sapporo quickly before the car rental place closed.
Currently Shinkansen only goes to Hakodate, the southern city in Hokkaido. So if you are going to Sapporo, I would suggest taking a plane. I'm not sure if they hold the snow festival next year but many people go to Sapporo during this time but it's really cold! 😄
