Railway line from the capital of Serbia to the Romanian border (Railway line Beograd - Pančevo - Alibunar - Vršac - state border) is one among an extensive Vojvodina railway lines network. It is a railway line through plains, but not at all boring, and according to the construction configuration, it is not an ordinary flat railway. Regardless of the plains it passes through, there are a lot of small radius curves and demanding ascents on this line.
The video shows a diesel motor unit passenger train cabride from the main railway station in Belgrade, through tunnels under the central part of the city, and then over a large steel bridge on the Danube River towards Pančevo. After crossing the Danube river, line continues to the territory of Banat and then near Pančevo, line crosses another large steel bridge over the Tamiš river. After Pančevo railway junction, the track becomes non-electrified. Along the way, train pass through and serves many nonfunctioning inoperative defunct stations.
In addition to the tracks near Vladimirovac and Alibunar, there are new wind farms with a lot of windmills. Along the way, there are also numerous level crossings in the fields. This can be very inconvenient due to careless farmers that cross tracks with their tractors without paying attention to the oncoming train. Several such situations are recorded in this video.
The length of this line is 87km. Maximum allowed train speed is 100km/h. The longest tunnel is "Vračar" (L=3510m). The longest bridge is "Pančevački most" (L=1067m). Line has double and single track parts. It has new light track signals and the old type of mechanical semaphore track signals. All essential and relevant information like maximum speeds, slow order speeds, limited speeds, elevation and current ride location are shown during the video.
