Do people not know that the Xbox x costs an additional 150 bucks than a pro? And that it has newer hardware since it came out a year after the pro? The pro is fantastic For it's low price. What about the games that never got an X1X patch or a bad X1X patch? Yeah, those run at 900p with lower settings on the Series X, worse than the base PS4. Watch Dogs 2, MGS V, Arkham Knight, Watch Dogs 1 the list goes on.

Kiplin Gordon it depends on how sensitive you are to FPS drops, I know gamers who don't even notice drops from 60 to mid 40s. Meanwhile a drop from steady 60 to 58 for anything more than a couple of frames will make me feel physically sick. Everyone has a different tolerance.

gingataisen 1. You can still buy the game on Ubisoft store/Keys from G2A for Steam. 2. If a hard drive dies you still have access to the game (on steam anyway) but you just gotta redownload it. 3. You can pirate the game (on PC). If you read Microsoft/Sony's EULA you'd know that you don't own your physical games either. You are merely buying a license to play the game, Microsoft/Sony could just as easily block the use of said disc just as easily as they can block the use of a digital game.

If consoles were the base, the PC versions would all look worse. Making games look the best is a priority. Scaling down is much easier. On the X you can but you'll have to lock the frame rate at 30fps the PS4 Pro you can but you'll have to lock the fps at 30 and lower the graphics to like mixture of medium and low maybe 1 or 2 on high but mainly all games run with the exact same graphics settings on both consoles only real big difference is resolution. We will have to wait till the PS5 comes out and is able to stay natively at 4k without compromising graphics or frame-rate for a short period of time though. I still think there will be more games at 30fps then 60fps Next-Gen since people don't want to fork down more then $400 for a console but are willing to buy a $1k iphone that is literally going to last them 1 year 2 max. Sony should make a $1k PS5 with the best tech they can think of to put in it and find a way to educate people on how its a better investment then buying a phone that is $1k+ becomes outdated within 3months.

I was playing The Witcher 3 in Xbox one X. Tested the 4k/30fps and the 1440/60fps modes.... 30fps feel very fluid and the only moment I noticed it was 30fps is when I used the right stick to rotate the camera, the motion blur effect vs the 60fps mode it feels more fluid at the same camera rotation. Otherwise, is no big difference. About PS5 running all games at 60fps.... only if developers doesn't push the graphics to the limits in a way that they prefer 30fps for better graphics... that has been always the case.

FinalBaton hi, I haven't really noticed any input lag of any of the fps games, I first played a ps4 pro on this TV and it look awesome, but the Xb1x is better again. The TV has a fantastic Nits range for the price when HDR is used, you want that to be over a 1000. So finding a good balance of size, picture and price can be time consuming and while it's not the top of the range Sony tv it holds it own and I'm really happy.

Such a low drop would be barely noticeable on an adaptive refresh rate display, but since the the game runs with vsync on displays with locked 60Hz, even small FPS drops result in very noticeable stuttering and frametime spikes.

No, it doesn't. I have a GTX 1070. OC'd, I can play @94% Res-Scale of 2160p & Ultra preset. That's still a higher pixel count than the XboneX and better settings. The 1070ti and the RX Vega 56 should have no problem with full 2160p/Ultra

Even if you did lock output to 1080 the game still supersample to 1440p automatically and downsamples it to that 1080 screen size so the performance impact of the update would still be in effect. The only way to really have it only be 1080p now and locked at 60 is to not update it period.

Victor Vieira yes but since its now set in the game to do it automatically it simply ignores what you set in the PS4. Basically having supersampling on is now it's default state. It's funny because you can still enable system supersampling ontop of it lol. No effect though of course.

Also the ud tech 6 dynamic resolution is HORRIBLE. on wolfenstein 2 on PC you can enable it but 1 it's super slow to adjust the resolution, nothing like titan fall 2 2 it's is underestimating how much the resolution should be reduced
