Summer of 84, High School friends and i took a road trip up to Redding Ca, down the PCH to so. cal. Stopped at Santa Barbara, hooked up with some local girls, the rest is blissful history!!

Well, keep in mind that this city is like perfectly placed too; it's the beach, but not in a hurricane zone like some of the beaches in Texas, it's latitude is not too low where it'd get really hot in the summer, it's latitude is not to high where it'd get too cold in the winter, it's in a very liberal state, it's not near any really big cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco.... Really, it's almost perfectly placed. My point is that you shouldn't think all of the U.S. is this nice pretty much all year around. It's quite the exception rather.

I appreciate your approach. Extended, real, raw look at what to expect when you visit. It is not full of needless "music" and excessive intentional jump cuts with a bubbly blond gushing how "yummy" everything is.

June is pleasant, mild but very often overcast (all day, all June).....late July - Oct is best.....or early April to mid May!

I think this video is sad.I was born and raised here, I graduated 1977 SBHS and saw the SBHS band in 2013 at Fiesta.....maybe 15 band members...we had hundreds in the 70's, there was life...State Street was busy...yeah it was expensive back then, but we worked very hard......the city is a ghost of what it used to be.It's nice to visit.....you would never ever want to live there!

This i beautiful. but I am from NYC I go to the Jersey shore because the beaches are cleaner and the food is better than Long island. Anyway there boards walks in Jersey cant take cars. How do the boardwalks handle cars? Are they reinforced by concrete?

No, multiple pylons (meaning many), they are tested and replaced when needed (all wood)!
