⁠​⁠​⁠@@whixca first of all, what encores are you talking about? the ones that were broadcasted two years ago? like in that video of a «vocal coach» you’re referring to? well, it might seem crazy, but people tend to grow in terms of skills and you can clearly see that it’s happened to jay. he’s the one, who sings a lot of vocally challenging parts in their songs along with heeseung, not anyone else. like don’t you understand what it means? 😭 it means he’s the only one (besides heeseung), who is skilled enough to sing these difficult parts. jay and jungwon are also the ones who always sing live during performances and are famous in the fandom for being stable. sorry, but you must be in denial or something.

@@whixca wtf Jay and jungwon are the most stable vocalists in enhypen singing live and doing difficult choreography which is very hard to find in kpop groups. Most of them rely on recorded vocals when they do performances with strenuous choreographies but these guys always but always sing live and it should be praised 👊🏻

@@whixca honestly talking about their encore from 2-3 yrs back and being in denial about jay's actually really good vocals is crazy. because he has indeed improved and even in their recent albums (memorabilia and xo) he sang the parts that were really challenging. did you not hear his high notes that he sang in blossom, lucifer and brought the heat back. and moreover they have sung blossom so many times on concert , live, did you not hear him then. you just seem biased at this point. he has one of the best stability in terms of vocals

He does nearly all the adlibs this song. And incredibly I might say, it's easy to miss coz they're so cohesive. 2:37, he hits the note at "vu" when Sunghoon says "deja-vu"

I have a running theory it’s because they’re waiting for his voice to stabilize since he’s still growing. That way they can protect his vocal cords and so he can still sing these songs even after many years pass. So I’m sure he’ll get plenty of vocal lines in the future!

I think it has do to with his vocal not being his biggest strength in the group. I'm sure he's getting training along with the company letting his voice mature. I've noticed his voice has changed the most throughout time, obviously there's no surprise there so I'm sure with time he'll get more vocal lines. In comparison Jungwon is almost nearly two nears older than him which makes a huge difference with vocal maturity of men, plus he was a strong vocalist in I-land.

I love how he always accentuates the higlights parts of the song. That’s what makes him exceptional. Plus his voice is just 💯!!

spot on! he isn't my bias but i totally agree. it's not a criticism at all when we say heeseung's voice is the backbone of enha's song, bc his vocal tone helps add a layer of identity to their discography and it really enriches their songs!

only Heeseung is the ace of Enhypen even all members agree to give that title only for Heeseung. He is not only good at vocal or carrying the vocal line of the group but he is the center and his stage presence is another level.

@@hydejudyll I didn't know either, and I've been here since I-land. He sings live 99% of the time, and I've never seen them give him a line in this key. I thought his vocals were only suited for lower register lines, but he just proved me wrong.

⁠@@sumaya1598haha but I think it is quite clear he sings with his diaphragm because singing with throat voice sounds thinner and singing with your stomach sounds deeper and stronger. Also by lowering the diaphragm there will be less air in your lungs so that you can sing a longer note without going out of breath. I noticed hee could hold his breath for long and still sound powerful so he must have mastered his skill.
