Not only is the Turbo S faster, it has a backseat, that folds down into a cargo shelf. A decent front boot. Full leather interior with extremely comfortable heated/cooled seats. Adaptive cruise control, lane change assist. It has all the refinement and comfort you need in a daily driver and KILLS everything in a straight line. On the track? EVO has the Turbo S achieving a lap time identical to the GT3. There really isn't a more perfect car for the person who wants ONE car to drive everyday.

For those confused as to how a car with "less" hp can beat a car with "more", it's all about power under the curve. The Porsche isn't underrated and it doesn't have more power than claimed - it just has boat loads of mid range torque and superb traction. Compared to the Huracan LP610 for example, the Turbo S has about 33% more mid range torque which means at 4000rpm the Turbo S is producing 420hp to the Lambo's 315hp. Even taking into consideration the higher redline, peak power and shorter gear ratios in the LP610, the 911 still has a sizeable advantage.

Well guys, let's be realistic.The 911 is THE BEST, the most known and "the oldest" sports car EVER made!! It's history goes back to 1963, which would make 54 years by now, that's the fact. The Turbo S is currently the Top model of the 991 series (by Performance and we can also say "usability"). It is a great all rounder and among the Sports cars for sure the best one. You can use it Perfectly in everyday's life, wheather there is raining or snowing or even if you need a ride from Amsterdam to Munich for a business meeting. On the weekend you take it to the Nurburgring track and ride it on a race car performance level or like in this very video you meet other (also even stronger and more expensive cars) and take them down like we can see here very nice! And to answer to you @SenszR... The RIGHT answer is: If You are lucky and you now own such 991 Turbo S, you can "ONLY" change it with the New Turbo S in few years to come ;-) Which is for sure going to be again the best of 911 of all times!! There is no doubt about it, because PORSCHE is doing such a great job and with each new creation they make is surprising over and over again!!!

Turbo S owners: What’s that tiny spot in the mirror?

Finally took delivery of my 991.2 Turbo S a few weeks ago and it truly astonishes me every day. Coming from a guy who never liked Porsche's before, it truly is the best car I've ever driven.

Been driving this monster for about a month now, it is really a marvel of a car. Worlds beyond my daily driver (M3 F80). Thank you for this great video.

Here what I think, on Porsche's dyno, this Turbo S produces 580HP. Put the Turbo S on an Italian dyno and it will produce at least 900HP... LOL!

Ironically, folk here in the UK refused to call the Porsche Turbo a "supercar"- thanks to the antics of Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear. Forgetting, of course, that the Porsche 959 was the original "supercar". I remember an episode on Top Gear where a 959 was lined up for a drag race with a Ferrari F40 (everyone's favourite supercar). Hamster was driving the F40 and was properly smoked by the 959! In this video, it is interesting to see that the 991 Turbo S easlily beat a lot of cars that are generally acknowledged as "supercars"... It took another Porsche, the 997 GT2 RS, to really edge the Turbo S- as it has about 40 BHP more.

Owned many $200k plus sports cars over the years. Nothing plants and goes like a 911 turbo. And nothing is as easy to drive. I would feel comfortable letting my 16 year old drive it with no practice.

The claimed hp for the porsches usually hide 10% more! A friend's 718 Cayman S recently got 390 hp stock on the dyno. It was suposed to have 350hp, give or take. Great cars!

Porsche defy the laws of physics....Well nearly. Gear change is lightening.

My wife has a new RS6 and it is imperious in a straight line. It monsters the F10 BMW M5 (although the new ESC software made it the easiest beemer to drive quick ... not like the tail happy pigs; BMW 635d, any 5.0 S/C jaguar, and every Aston Martin [from DB7 v12, DB9, Rapide and Rapide S which fishtail like The Man from Atlantis and aren't even that quick when the cars calms down .. sound amazing though] A Golf R would be faster on any mixed surface B - road. ... but I digress. 2 weeks ago My wife in the RS6 came off a roundabout on to a double lane A road (A96 leaving Inverurie) side by side with the new 911 Turbo S. ..... holy shit. It killed us. and 6 other cars in a blink. No Modena or Sant Agata histrionics, I had to mute the radio to hear it. It must have hit 100mph comfortably under 6 seconds. It was ballistic. A weapons grade ... weapon. Bravo Porsche. But If that's 580hp I think the dyno in Stuttgart may need recalibrating.

Only a Porsche was able to beat the 911 turbo s, that's why I've been a Porsche fan for so long. I believe that the lambos could be faster with a different gearbox, the cars seemed to be struggling when accelerating and changing speeds.

I own a M5 F10 and I knew it will lose easily vs the Turbo S. Normal it's a different type of car ... However the BMW did not so bad for a 7 years old car. The M5 is qualified as a "Business jet" or family sport car. While it will be great to see this Turbo S versus the new 488 ferrari as it just got elected as "Best sport's engine" of the year.

Fact the hurrican is faster. The guy is manual shifting and messing up the race. Once the lambo hits the Rev limiter is messes up the whole run trust me I own one and my friend owns a turbo s.

Without a doubt the best all around supercar for the money! I've ordered the new GTS and at 450 HP its all the car I can use in the real world or around a track. The Turbo S is a great car but truth be told you are paying for a lot of extra HP that you will never use outside of a few straight line runs while hoping the police are nowhere around. Alas a have a few friends who might be looking at jail time for pushing the 100MPH mark as more states make excessive speeding more than just a pricey ticket. Now its an offense that can lose you your license and get you 3 to 6 months in jail. This leaves you with a track car and in that respect there are better 911 models. I am trading in my 911S 991 series for the 991.2 GTS and would argue its a perfect compromise between the GT3 and the Turbo/Turbo S in terms of real world use and a track car when you want it to be. Again I take nothing away from the Turbo S as I agree its the best all around Supercar on the market. If I lived in Germany and had access to roads where I could really push a Turbo S it would be my choice.
