If I'm not mistaken, the Majors never had Bo5s in the final. And apparently players and viewers disliked it in other tournaments, since it feels like it just wears the players out.

Csgo games can last indefinitely because of overtime. So a BO5 is just way too long for viewers and the players.

A team is more than the sum of its parts, Navi definetely didn't perform on top and boombl4 didn't frag very well but that doesn't mean that you can just swap him for another ingame leader and instantly make the line up better. There is a good reason why this exact line up was the first to do a flawless Major run, so calm down.

@@XelFlame it's been three LANs and they've died in semis in twice and was second once. It's not their era anymore, an era would be if they had no one on the same level as them. It's just about the end of it, mate. You don't define an era with silver medals, you define it with championships, and they've had theirs last year. (not a fan of either team, so hopefully I dont get called bias on this; just my honest opinion) Navi is still good tho, no one's disagreeing with that. just not era anymore

@@grandmasteryoda503 Im not a fan of navi so im taking tjis from an article, but they apparently won every big csgo tournament in 2021, including a major in Stockholm. They were also undefeated on LAN, and they had record breaking earnings in a year beating out even that of prime Astralis. They also had an Intel Grand Slam. Considering thats one straight year of domination, extending a bit into 2022, id say its considerably an era. Again, i reiterate, im not a fan, so hopefully i dont get called a biased fan. Its annoying to acknowledge their dominance when the team i root for (g2) isnt reacjing their potentials, but its undeniable.

@@Pyxyty Just my opinion but record breaking earnings is not really a good argument because (1) the PGL Stockholm Major had double the price pool of a normal major because it had the price pool of the (Rio?) major in 2020 that didn't end up happening. (2) Price pools are pretty much consistently rising as well. I may be biased but while their peaks could be compared, 3 back to back to back majors, 4 in total and being the best team for ~2 years throughout a tenure of two and a half years (2018 to early 2020) is a lot more than NaVi had. NaVi had very dominant two thirds of 2021, I would argue, and yes, they did break records. So, you could call them an era, sure. But I just personally wouldn't use record earnings as an argument. I would rather argue with their flawless major run, strong LAN win streak( albeit on limited events) and even individual performances/team performances with s1mple playing the best CS of his life and b1t being the 'winningest' rookie of all time. I want to again say that that's just my personal opinion though.
