Fort Myers Beach is a town located in the barrier island of Estero Island in Lee County, Florida, USA. It is part of the Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Fort Myers sandy beach is about 7 miles long facing the Gulf of Mexico.
The Times Square in Fort Myers Beach Pier features shops, bars and restaurants.

What a shame, that was a really pretty and calm beach town before Ian. I used to visit Sanibel, which is just north of there, every year when I was younger. At least its all on RU-vid for people to look back and remember what once was

I really needed this today. I'm sick with the flu and this is great therapy. I love that it's just beach, and normal everyday sounds. Narrations get annoying. I'm from FL, but living out of state. Glad this is still up. Been through many hurricanes, they can truly devastate, eventhough everything is lost, we Floridians do rebuild the beauty, no matter how long it takes. Thanks for a great walk on the beach! God bless.

My sister just moved there year ago. I'm going to visit her for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to it. She's got a place right on the water, with a boat and a screened in built-in pool. I don't think I'll want to come home!

Years ago I walked this beach during spring break. I would start at Publix’s in Estero, walk the beach to the pier, then take the bus/trolley back.

Next time you’re in the area visit Captiva beach, about 45 mins from Ft. myers beach. It’s way less crowded and 100x prettier, you won’t be disappointed.

Great little beach , water can have a lot of turbidity from Caloosahatchie River , don’t expect azure blue water all the time .

My best friend's parents moved to Estero Island (Ft.. Myers Beach) in 1957 i.e. 53 Hercules St., & bought 3-4 existing cottages to rent! While there, they personally built a large 2 story house (for possible flooding) & rented out the rest! At that time, the last three miles of the Island was essentially just an empty beach! Even when I first visited Ft. Myers Beach in 1966, it was still a very quiet, but beautiful area! Haven't been there since the 90's! Wish you had shown more!

Don't mean to burst your bubbLe but I lived all over the USA and I live in SW Florida strictly for work and I hate it, it feels like you are driving in a Flintstones episode, it's an endless loop of same trees , same scenery, mosquitos and alligators and the drivers are rude as hell, road rage is out of control, overpopulation is a problem, a lot of new Yorkers and Puerto Ricans come here because is cheap and they think they can do whatever the hell they want, they are rude and have no respect for anybody or anything. Can't wait to sell my house and get the hell out of this shit hole. Oh! and by the way the beaches are nothing to brag home about unless you like dirty water then you will be OK.

i stayed at the sandpiper in 1977 as a teen; we drove down from toronto for 3 weeks; there was a house on the north section of the hotel we stayed, while my grandparents stayed in the motel; i returned in 1999 with my 8 and 11 yr old....hope to return but currently can't fly out of canada (pureblood); will have to wait, or drive

the best thing I did was move from this city nothing to do , I live in Hallandale Beach Fl which is close to Miami and Hollywood Beach Fl the night life is great it's a lot of jobs that's available and paying good.

I lived in Ft.Myers for several years back in the late 80s. Watching your video I only see a couple things I recognize. The start of the pier did not have all those shops. I do remember all the OLD, RUDE , DISRESPECTFUL, Can't F cking drive for Shit Snow Birds. I was so happy that I got my transfer.

I'm trying to move to Florida either this year or next year. I know Florida is full, but I need to move somewhere warm because I've lived in the Northeast most of my life. I also have had vitamin D deficiency & I'm in my 30s. I'd like to move to an area where there isn't as many crowds and is safe, but I still love to go to the beach at least once a week. Where should I move? I'm thinking St. Petersburg, but Fort Meyers looks great too! Any recommendations?

if you really prefer safe then youll probably want to live in one of the smaller cities rather than a st pete or ft myers. Just check out a map theres plenty of nice places in between with identical beaches and less crowded.

Does anyone know if you can actually swimm there? What I mean is, do you have to walk for 2-3 min to get to the deeper water? In Sarasota it’s kind of deep enough to stay close to the beach.Hope at least someone gets what I’m asking🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂
