One I had to film when I decided to spend a few days filming in Vancouver. I flew on 500's all the time when I was a kid. Both Southwest and Untied flew them to the area I live a lot. It was definitely a trip down memory lane.
OK, confession time. I've never been to Kelowna. But this has become a popular place to film Lifetime thriller movies now. That's a fascinating area of BC. The Okanagan region is the one and only desert of Canada. BC also has the hottest temperatures every recorded in Canada. 3 years ago, when that Arizona type hot cell formed over BC, Lytton had a temperature of 121 degrees and the ensuing wildfires burned everything down. Back in 2015 and in 2017, the whole province of BC literally went up in flames. Because we're entering another La Nina, we could see something like it this year. We're already well under budget in terms of rainfall this year. Anyhow, GREAT views of the Coast Mountains!! About 2-3 hours up from Vancouver is the Pemberton Icefield which is as large by area as the Columbia Icefield in the Canadian Rockies. This was where they filmed part of the 1998 X-Files movie where Mulder had to rescue Scully from that ET deep freeze facility. The movie took place in Antarctica, but it was filmed at the Pemberton Glacier. So.... parlez-vous francais, Monsieur Skylite? BC has the lowest percentage of francophones in Canada and also has a complete lack of French place names. It's the opposite of Quebec in this regard. In all of my visits to Vancouver and Victoria, I heard lots of different languages being spoken, but I didn't hear one single person speak French. I took 2 years of French in high school. I can read French MUCH better than I can speak it. I'm that way with Spanish too.
Still the same during preflight - nobody is listening (maybe a first flier) people were talking over the steward's announcement. Tks for your videos!!!
Only a first time flier would actually listen, so I'm pretty sure you would of. People who fly like it's a community bus have nothing more new to listen there in standard welcome/safety announcement.
That was some great footage, and really nice to see you operating out of these airports I know well. I've been wanting to take this flight on the -500 for awhile, but haven't got around to it yet. Looking forward to more footage of your Canadian flying trip to come!
I haven't been on the ground in Kelowna in many years and I'd forgotten how pretty it is up there. As for Vancouver, it is the most beautiful city I've ever seen even though I'm from Seattle!
A 735 with winglets? and those blue seats? I thought it must be a former SWA plane, but I was wrong when I looked it up. Norway, China, Russia (2 different airlines) and now Air North. Great catch.
This upload didn’t disappoint! I miss the Kelowna scenery and your flight date was 4 days before I moved out of the city lol, was happy the construction didn’t really affect the airport operations.

I spent four days last month using Vancouver as a base of operations as I flew all over the area on Air North, WestJet, Pacific Coastal Airlines, Air Canada Flair Airlines & more. This is only the second flight form that trip that I've posted, so a lot more to come from the area!
@lawrencecavens5760 no I’m from the US. Born in New Mexico, lived most of my life in Kansas. My mother is a dual citizen of Canada and the US thigh and my brother is a permanent resident in Canada and he lives in Vancouver.
I have a question, do you always fly just for these content? Or is it for your business trips etc. Also, are all these flights yours? or did you get some videos from your viewers flying? Anyways I love these videos, great way to end off the day before sleeping 😅
Most of my trips are solely to film them for upload here. So, yes I fly just for the content. That said, this channel is my full time job, so it is technically for business too haha. Just not the typical "business" reasons most people travel for. And no, I don't get anything from anyone else. Everything you see on here, I filmed myself.
Anyone can book tickets on Air North through their website or any other 3rd party travel site. Although, I would never recommend booking airfare through a 3td party site, I'm just saying it's possible haha. Air North operates both the 737-500 and 737-400 and they still operate most of their flights.
Yes, it sure it is. I flew them all the time back when I was younger on Southwest and United, but this is the first time I've filmed one for the channel.
What do you mean by the sound quality was terrible considering the age of the aircraft? I have no idea what that means. The audio of the video is completely fine and it sounds exactly like a 737-500, so I'm confused as to what you're trying to point out.
I'm not 100% sure. But based on the topography that's probably a small forest fire. Started how? No clue, but if it is a forest fire it could've just been a lightning strike.
