Glamour Tram Universal Backlot Studio Tour at the Universal Studios Hollywood Park in California shot in 4K 60FPS POV! The Glamour Tram livery at the Universal Studios Hollywood Backlot Studio Tour is a classic call back to the red and white striped Studio Tour Trams from the 1960s! 7 of the gas powered tram vehicles were chosen to inherit the design of the glamour trams as a last hurrah before they are fully retired over the course of the next 5 years. This only makes a ride on the Glamour Trams more unique and interesting since once Universal Backlot Studio Tours’ 60th anniversary is over, it will not only be the end of the Glamour Trams, but also all gas tram operations for the studio tour! The Glamour Trams, like Universal Studios Hollywood’s other Gas, are very loud toward the front of the tram due to the powerful gas engine they use to navigate through the backlot’s steep terrain. If you sit in the front of the Glamour Tram, you may find it hard to understand the Tour guide, however, if you sit in the back of the Glamour Trams, you will be deafened by the loud speakers since they are turned all the way up for guests sitting in the first and second vehicles. This is an experience I haven’t experience for a while since most of the trams I’ve ridden have all been electric and don’t make much noise when traversing the backlot. The Universal Studio Backlot Tram Tour’s Glamour Tram overlay is a limited time event that will last over the course of the next year or so. If you or your group wants to experience a classic ride on the Glamour Trams at the Universal Studios Hollywood park in California, we recommend you to take a trip to the park within the next 1 to 2 years!
