I had this great opportunity due to a very well organised spotter morning by onze luchtmacht to get on base at Leeuwarden Air Base. We spent the morning that close to the runway that we could feel the loudness of the departing fighter jets. Hope you enjoy the Loud close take offs too in this video.

de beelden zijn ook weer enorm mooi om naar te kijken het is echt fantasties mooi om dit te zien . donderdag was ik naar frisian flag geweest .en ook zo mooi is dat die f 16 brede bochten maakte en hem vervolgens recht omhoog trok . en dat laatste had ik nog nooit gezien .

Hallo Ron, leuk dat je even reageert, ja het is idd weer lekker druk op de vliegbasis vanwege Frisian Flag. Vanochtend had ik weer de mogelijkheid om de basis op te gaan en zal mijn opnames binnenkort online zetten. Ik wens je een goed weekend 👍😊

Geweldig mooie video, mr 32 TFS. Mooie stek naast de 23-05 op onze basis. Die F16 van onze zuiderburen was wel erg enthousiast. Ffkes de antisliplaag van de de runway testen. Op naar de grote training Friesian Flag. Mooi weekeinde groet uit Zandvoort.

I guess you had your reasons for it, but it is a pity that the flyover of the tornado at the start is cut in the middle. The sound reminds many germans of the 90's when low highspeed flights of tornados were much more common. Nice video as always!

An Agressor F35 wow that seems cool 🤩. We have 2 F35s with a special tail in this video it can be seen one at 02:07 in take off 😊. There is also one F35 with a tiger tail I hope to get that one next friday when I will be again on the air base 👍. Have a nice sunday and a good new week my friend 🤙

De ochtend take off is rond 09:30 gevolgd om rond 11:30 de landing in de middag is de take off time rond 13:30 en terugkomst rond 16:00.

Rond 13:30 is de takeoff en ongeveer tussen 15:30 - 16:00 de landing.

Nice video as always ! Do you know by any chance why the dutch F-35 don't often take off with the afterburner on ? And also why their missions are long (around 5h when I go spotting in Volkel).

Indeed to reduce noise pollution, when bird status is critical they will use the AB. Normally they fly 1 to 1,5hr missions 5hr mission is very exceptional. Thanks for watching the video and for asking 😊👍

The F35 might be difficult to detect by radar, but it's not very silent...Couldn't it be easily detected and tracked by a network of connected microphones, and recognised by its soundprofile? :P
