One of the happiest memories of my entire life is this ride right here. It will always be an experience I will never forget. I will keep coming back until my final days ❤
I actually got to ride this ride before it was officially opened. Universal calls it a tech rehearsal where they'll just let people experience an attraction before they officially open it. I went to Universal on valentines day 2016 to see Deadpool in CityWalk and then spent the rest of the day at the park and they were just letting people into the Harry Potter area a full 2 months before the official opening. It was awesome
It’s not the riders shadows that show though, it’s Harry and Ron’s shadow, they even acknowledge the fact that we’re in a flying magical bench by mentioning how dodgy they can be. Indeed a nice touch
Thank you for uploading this! These kind of motion rides tend to make me nauseous (the one at Gringotts almost made me blow my butter beer) but watching it on the screen was just fine for me.
I fly small airplanes for a living so I can handle some motion…. There is something about the screen sections of this ride that totally made me nauseous all morning today.
I rode the Florida version of this ride so many times and yet my Arachnophobia always gets the best of me when we reach the Forbidden Forest scene with the spiders and Aragog.
How much does the ride itself move? Apart from the screen making it look like it? I’ll be visiting in May for the first time and I get terrible motion sickness of the rides are too rough😶
I've never been on a vehicle when it broke down by a dementor, but I have gotten stuck at the spiders and looking straight up at the whomping willow. 😂
Last time I rode this, the ride broke down in front of the dementors. I would've rather broke down in front of one of the screens, but I'm just glad it wasn't the spiders. That's the only part of the ride I close my eyes for
I remember going on this ride the year it opened in a queue full of people and it was SO fun. The excitement was palpable and people were doing call and responses, etc...Such a fun time and made the two hours pass so fast!
My brother and I rode this. I kid you not our ride broke down and stopped during the spider scene. We were like the second to last riders and the woman seated in the next car (with her partner) started crying 😂 I was thankful for her crying because I was ready to 😂😂
Disney fan here- the best themed queue in the world and one of the best rides ever made Also the scariest thrill ride I have ever seen- this POV has things jumping out at you!
Missed out so many things worth viewing. It's a wizard encounter. After my first time riding it, I had to run round to do it again, and I'm over sixty years of age.
Awesome video!. I only rode that ride once and I got extremely sick! .. we are looking to go back again possibly this year but for sure next year but want to only record video through the que then bail out at the end and let the family enjoy the ride.. If you don't mind, what's the camera setup you're running on this ride?
Wife and I went here 3 or 4 years ago im usually one to follow theme park construction and ride engineering RU-vid videos before I go to a park but with HP world i really wanted to be surprised. My 11 year old inner me who became obsessed with HP first book it was legitimately a dream come true our mouths drooped in awe! We had no idea tgis was a ride. We where just enjoying walking around Hogwarts! Than the ride. Im not a fan of heights and well we got stuck in the forbidden Forrest. My wife convinced me it was part of the ride.. we got off and was like wait (realizing she lied it wasn't part of the ride) Still had an awesome time! Hagrids motorcycle adventure had to be the best themed launch coaster/drop ride ive ever been on
So, I have a question. I’ve never been on this before and reading the comments makes me a little confused and unsure about trying it. Some of you have said that this thing that you’re sitting in actually goes upside down? I am seeing that it’s being jerked around quite a bit and many of you are saying that you felt sick during the screen portions. I’m curious about it…..but I think I’m more nervous than curious. Should I ?
Probably the only way I will ever see this, thank you! I get so sick with screen rides. I even had an anti-nausea band, that actually takes the edge off and allows me to fly in an airplane and ride the revenge of the mummy too.... Only once. Did not work on the Millineum Falcon ride at Disney, this one would destroy me and probably the people next to me lol.
It's a bit of a challenge getting on this ride and getting off. The moving floor tripped me I almost fell hard on my face, lucky I was able to somehow stay on my feet.
I've been on numerous rides with screens my whole life, and this ride made me absolutely so sick that I had to sit for a couple hours on the sidewalk after. I couldn't wait until this ride was over. There's something about it. I've done everything from sorin, to body wars, to Star tours, nothing affects me, I did this, and I was sick for hours after. Be careful,
Same here! I came close to losing it. I had just come from Hagrid’s so that didn’t help. Covered my eyes and just looked down during the flying video segments. There was something strange about this ride.
LMFAO I FEEL AWFUL I’ve always been so scared each time I ride this that ill fall on my ass at the very beginning when you need to sit on a cart while the whole ass ground is moving 😭
Ride malfunction, we were upside down, luckily it was only for a few minutes but still it was scary being upside down not knowing when it will start moving again
I have terrible motion sickness so i just accompanied my friends on the queue and left. they told me it was nothing much and i should have tried it lol what the hell? No way 😂
I was stuck on this ride about six years ago. The ride had stopped right before the dragon appeared, then started again then stopped right in front of the dragon. Me and my family were face to face with that dragon for an hour and a half, Before they turn the lights on. It was so cool to see the mechanic And the tracks to see how the ride works. Was very intresting to see how it all works. Super cool, even though my little sister cried the whole time. The people who were upside down during the Whomping willow tree part had to go to the hospital. We were stuck for 2 hours.... Got a free skip the line pass beacause of the ride malfunction. Still love the ride! Hope they fixed the problems since then lol
Interesting, for me it was the opposite, since, even tho i have strong motion sickness, i never felt like vomiting from this ride, and it made my day at universal only better :D
