In the 2024 New Taipei Lantern Festival, titled "Dragon Soars, Blessings Shine in New Taipei," held at the New Taipei Metropolitan Park, the main attraction was the 12-meter tall blue dragon illuminating the entire venue, along with thousands of hand-painted lanterns lining the pathways, sparkling against the night sky of the metropolitan park. The festival featured nine main thematic lantern zones and five special activities. In addition to the main lantern show, which showcased every half hour for three minutes, several lantern zones also featured augmented reality (AR) technology, artistic interactions, and other distinctive features. The surroundings were adorned with light environments and light corridors, creating a radiant and romantic atmosphere with an exotic flair.
