Artists are gathering in Mullae-dong, which was famous as an iron shop, and it is becoming an art space.
A neighborhood where the sound of metal and drums mix, and even shabby restaurant signs become works. More than 150 artists live in 60 studios, including paintings, dance, and photography, and exhibitions and performances hosted by them are held frequently.
Most of the hidden workrooms between the buildings are open to guests, so you can meet artists in person and listen to the work process.
Mullae-dong is a dong, neighbourhood of Yeongdeungpo-gu in Seoul, South Korea. Origin of "Mullae" comes from "Moraet-mal(모랫말)", it means "Sandy Village" in Native Korean.
