Ok not sure what happened while recording the sound of the IFE, I didn't hear it before uploading the video. Of course all the interfering noises are not part of IFE-Heatblur sounds. Sorry for this inconvenience.

SimAcoustics did a great job on the DC Designs bird... hopefully, IFE can get a better handle on audio - I was really hoping better of a IFE/HB combo.

I do wish DC/SC Designs cared more about their visual models - maybe they do care but just don't know how to improve, I'm not sure. It's the only thing that holds me back from buying more of their aircraft at their price point. I own both their Stearman and F-16 and they're both fun to fly but I can never get fully immersed in the experience because of the lower quality visual models. Even with a good flight model, it's just so hard to get immersed when the aircraft looks more like a videogame graphic and less like a real aircraft, and I feel like immersion is important in a simulator.

As a DCS Tomcat pilot the thing I like the most about flying the F-14 is the feed back the airframe gives off shaking and rattling when you stress it during turns. That is some top notch immersion simulation. You should really give DCS a try. You can try out any of their products for free for 14 days.

@@evoman44I thought the HB F-14 was good with the shakes and rattles, but then the F-4 trailer showed individual instruments shaking and my mine was blown!

You should rewatch your video. Something got messed up with the audio on the Heatblur video. It's nothing but fuzzy sound.

@CaptainKenobi At 3:32, it's fuzzy sounding in the beginning. Not saying it's a bad video, just some compression issues it sounds like.

IFE is working on the Tornado and I'm also stoked for this one, I've been waiting since I was a kid of 11 watching the first test flights out of BAE Warton every week or so! ; ) It's due sometime soon I believe

Already have a great version of it! Hopefully the next payware it's something new maybe like a-6 intruder maybe a highly detailed SR-71 a little Cessna Tweety Bird would be great

Yes, it will come in 2024, I thought you were talking about IFE's plan. We have the TopmachStudio B2, which will be different bird for sure. But you seem to be looking for old birds and I believe BlackbirdSim is working on the SR-71 yup.

Salut ! Il a l'air pas mal ce nouveau F14. J'ai une question qui n'a rien à voir avec cet avion , utilises-tu le logiciel filmora pour tes vidéos ? Si oui, sais tu comment peut on accélérer plus que 10x et réduire d'autant ? Je n'arrive pas à augmenter la valeur avec les curseurs. Merci

Man I have to admit the external sound set for the DC Designs version is far more exhilarating! might not be accurate not sure but the Heatblur sounds set for fllybys is just about non-existent!

Heatblur put every jet in MSFS to shame..sorry if you want jets go Heatblur or go onto DCS. :)

@@guillaumegrosjean6327 Nothing is only the best jet in MSFS in m opinion. MSFS is great for the just how the world looks but if you want to use the Tomcat properly they DCS. Thats what i meant. :)

Maybe someone can help me. Why the afterburner flames sometimes don't show up when throttle is at 100%? It just happens randomly, sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. It also happens with other jets. There's any solution to this? Seems like some kind of graphic glitch. Any help appreciated, thanks. :) Another thing, cockpit interior lights aren't visible on external view so at night cockpit from the exterior it's completely dark. It breaks immersion. Considering the high quality of the plane in the other aspects, don't know how they missed this. Hope they include this in a future update. Amazing work!

Hi. I'm thinking about buying but I can't decide between DC and Heatblur. Is there any significant difference in functionality between them? I don't mean the design, but the realism of the flight, the ability to land and take off from an aircraft carrier, etc. I play MSFS on XBOX

Both have great values. Atm I would say the heatblur offers more but I know DC has big plans for this year for their aircraft!

@CaptainKenobi yeah, the DCS F-14 has it. Basically each time you get into the F-14 the cockpit is different each time to simulate that you're in a different plane each time. It's really cool!

DCS F-14 driver here. As stated before, look on top of Jester's seat for the seat arm switch and turn it off. Then he won't eject.

That may be true but I don't hangout on or with IFE so I won't judge. But DC is one of the nicest guys I've met around Msfs and I have a lot of good times on their Discord.

What stands out on DC Design version is that the panel lines on the exterior are way too thick and pronounced, which makes it look like a cartoon. If the gaps were that wide in real life the wings and fuselage would be full of rainwater. The lack of weathering doesn't help either. The interior textures are also way too uniform, which makes it look like a homebuilt replica rather than the real deal. The Blackbox Cessna Birddog has the very same issues. It's far from looking photoreal as well.

Visually the IFE version is much better, but I don't know what's up with the sounds. It's as if the IFE version didn't have exterior sounds at all. 😕

Interesting detail about Heatblur's offering being quiet compared to DC's. In DCS, Heatblur's F-14 is loud and sounds great. I was about 0.5nm behind a B model as he hit the blowers and all I heard was a roar over my jet. Hopefully Heatblur will dial it in if need be, they do make a top teir product.
