In this Japan Vlog, I hike Mount Fuji, go up the Yoshida Trail, and stay at the mountain hut overnight. My morning starts at 1AM and after a cup of overpriced coffee (600 YEN!!), I head to attempt the hike, watching the beautiful night sky, and greeting the sun from the top of the highest point of Japan.

amazing vlog. at the top how was the air? did you find it difficult to breathe?

Thank you so much, Eric! In my experience, it was harder to breathe closer to the summit. I was lighthearted, but my body adjusted relatively fast. They sell oxygen at every station. Also, little energy snacks helped (here is japan you can buy oxygen candy 🤗, maybe placebo, but I thought they were helpful!)

Great video! Same with others here, I’m hiking this trail next year as well. Any tips on how to book the sleeping arrangements at Station 8?

Hey! thank you for watching and I appreciate your comment! The best thing you can do to secure the accommodation is BOOK EARLY! don't wait until the very last moment, accommodation is on a VERY HGH demand. Some of the huts accepting super early booking (like, you can book them now already). But i think the best is to wait until April 2024 and book then! most of the mt.huts will be receiving booking requests in Apr-May.
