Wow, that wash really needs to be maintained. That is the worst MacNeil Tunnel I’ve ever seen! And I liked that you did commentary. You should do that more often.
Alberta Car Wash Channel Sonny’s will always be my favorite tunnel manufacturer. No matter what they use to build their equipment. PECO, Belanger and MacNeil are good too, but N/S is terrible.
@@thecarwashelevatorfanatic7433 Yes I agree with you, Sonny’s is good and all, but Belanger and MacNeil are good too, but I HATE N/S, in fact, I’m glad my Dad wrecked the NS equipment at Plaza Auto Wash back in March, he was drunk, and drove directly through at full speed, causing lots of damage, I am mad that he committed this felony, but the N/S Deserved it, Plaza honestly should get new equipment, I can see likely in the future Car Wash USA is gonna Acquire it, and rip the NS out and install new MacNeil.
Upgrade list 1. New Oil pods or new RS-701 unit 2. New RS-1000 evolution top brush 3. Sensor Re-Calibration 4. New brush core and/or hub 5. new Tech 21 right side noels 6. New spray manifolds 7.New XR-1000 conveyor 8. New spray/rinse manifolds 9. New stop/go light 10. New pay stations/gates and a attendent
They need to refurbish this Car Wash. This needs new brushes, lava bath, new dryers, new rinse arches, new conveyor, new pay station, and maybe some LED lights.
Appreciate the added commentary! Talk about an awful wash! Poor thing probably hasn’t seen any maintenance beyond “make it spin, water flow, and car move”.
Alright, I’m going to rephrase my comment and take back what I said, This was isn’t half bad. I do not work at this particular wash. However after seeing Macniel systems in general. There okay (this isn’t the worst macniel I have seen, I have seen ones almost without neoglide entirely.) However keep making excellent content!
Wow. As a technician this makes me cringe. Those are not really expensive fixes. And just normal maintenance would have prevented a lot of that. That tells me the owner either does not want to be in the car wash business or is running out of money to fix it and is just letting it go until its unusable. Shame because it has potential to be a really nice wash
Gosh, I have so many things to say about this wash.... 1. That tunnel looked like it did an awful job.. 2. 5:51 Look at the superflex wrap in the background!! Holy crap that brush swung far. Thats because of those oil pods right? 3. Those rinsing arches look homemade.. 4. That second top brush looks disgusting.
Cool James I think you’re correct about the flex wrap. I work at a car wash and I’ve seen cautionary footage of one of our flex wrap’s control arm being damaged and what it looks like, and that was very close. Those flex wraps could swing out of control like that with nothing controlling the sway. If they were running cars really tight in there (thankfully it seems like the people in this area are smart to avoid this place so that won’t be happening anytime soon), that could damage a car pretty good. The full weight of those wraps slamming against the side of your vehicle, that’s a yikes
What the hell I am one person who is a car wash fanatic but this is whether the worst car wash I’ve seen if I had over $100 million and I had multiple car wash business they would never go down unless it’s something to repair something major.
Ok. Cloth on superflex is bare in the center. That’s due to cars side mirrors. Timing is off on the side brushes. The wash has no soap. And provides such a heavy contact. The springs on the van high and lower brush is so stiff. You see it digging into the car. Such a rough wash. Wow.
The Car Wash/Elevator Fanatic Sonny’s is actually poorly made however PECO has some of the best equipment on the market to buy than other competitors out there.
What’s the best car on the market to a car enthusiast? Not possible to pick one. For automatic rollover style machines - Mark VII Choice Wash XT is the best option for most operators as it makes the cut for both quality soft touch/touch free machines. Me personally? I’d put in a petit with 30FT distance from blowers, and centered undercarriage manifold. But that’s just me ;)
I think hpws is owned by NCS/Ryko/MacNeil/TSS now? If this were just manned, cleaned, fully functional (pos) it could be a far more successful wash. Ive seen far worse out east here. But it just aint pretty. Definetly hope that ANYONE can own a wash, maybe not a good one, but one none the less lol.
I got an Idea: Bulldoze it and rebuild it with PECO or Sonny's. Both look much better and easier to work on than MacNeil. Heck, Motor City would be better than this piece of junk.
Or perhaps they should destroy it and never attempt a wash again since it looks like they clearly can't run a wash the first time!! Stick to your store and gas.
Ryan Davison I heard a lot of bad things about AVW, the Mitters are known to break down a lot. PECO, Sonny’s and Motor City Wash Works are much better.
@@ryandavison4923 Just get a clue. The Car Wash Elevator Fanatic has opinions just like the rest of us. I think Peco/MCWW/Sonnys is much better than AVW/Macneil. We'll just leave it at that.
