New York CIty’s Pride March, one of the most vibrant, famous and colorful parades across the whole world, was held on June 26, 2022. It was truly an amazing experience to be able to spectate the event, and we are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind event for you.
The Pride March in the New York City is an annual civil rights march. It celebrates LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning) equality and attended by people from all over the world. The event commemorates the first gay rights march, held in NYC on June 28, 1970. This event is free and open to the public.
The Pride Parade kicks off at 25th Street and 5th Avenue, then proceeds south on 5th Avenue before heading west on 8th Street. After crossing over 6th Avenue, it continues on Christopher Street passing the Stonewall National Monument. It will then turn north on 7th Avenue, passing the New York City AIDS Memorial, before ending at 16th Street and 7th Avenue.
We started our journey with the Washington Square Park, which was vibrant with the colors of the PRIDE. We then proceeded along the fifth avenue and found us places to observe this parade. The brave people participating in this parade were sparkling, vibrant and cheerful, enjoying to their fullest.
