This is completely magnificent! I can put my nose to the window and recognize landmarks as the jet circles. And it isn't too noisy, it's authentic! An intense and enjoyable nine and a half minutes!
always interesting to see Las Vegas at night when flying in, all the darkness of the Nevada desert and then bam, the bright lights of the city and mainstrip.
I remeber being 40 miles outside of Vegas on a roadtrip a few years ago. It was 2:30 in the morning on the interstate and everything on our right was pitch black, and off in the distance to the left was this glow, and that was the city.
We landed in Vegas once in a thunderstorm. It was lightning all over the place. Then right before we got to the airport torrential rain. And when they ran the thrust reversers water flew 60 feet in the air. Yhat was the highlight of the flight watching that water fly.
I only visit Vegas once and it was a blast! One thing I not hear on video is the constant happy talking with giggling😄then when you deplane you can hear the slot machines walking through the gangway to the gate!😋 but I never flew at night so really love this landing👍 btw..the trip home..was so quiet..people looking sad..I wonder why😄
A very spectacular video! I flew to Las Vegas last month on a night flight out of Ontario International Airport(ONT) to Harry Reid Airport(KLAS) and I had similar views on the way in! It gives you a whole different perspective of the city with this kind of a view. Great shot of the strip!
I moved to Vegas in 1986, around 150-200k people, now we are over 2.2 million people and they wonder why the water in Lake Mead is going down. That’s not counting a 100K tourist each day, using the restroom and the laundry plus the shower. That water won’t last forever.

What's so different about how they "find" Vegas as opposed to "finding" any other city a plane is flying to? The ATC system is the same regardless of what city pairs a plane is flying between. You dig?
@@frankgrimesification it wasn’t meant to be technical. I know they have radar and auto pilot. It was just a reference to today’s technology. They used to have to fly during daylight hours and look for landmarks. Don’t take things so literally so you can show how SMART you are.
@@countalucard4226 Can't help it---people like you make it so easy! And how long has it been since pilots used landmarks and the stars to navigate, like 100 years ago (literally)? There's something called the 21st century---look into it!
Its looks so peacefull and bright from above...like an island between the darkness. When in fact plenty of mafia kind of sh..is happening right there at that very moment...
An excellent night view. It just shows how remarkably small The Strip is compared to the rest of the city, and of course, how it instantly stands out. What percentage of all visitors to this city spend almost 100% of their time in The Strip?
tbh I thought it was Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020! I've been irl and flown this using MSFS and it's hard to tell the difference. Great video. Saw some familiar sights from your flight.
I can see that you're coming in from the west & flying past the airport, making a 180° & landing from the east on runway 26Left. What city you flying in from?
Not OP: I fly in from Monterey, CA - always at night (this view is always spectacular!!). I must always be on the wrong side of the plane, but I don't recognize that 180 fly around. Luckily, the landing is SO EXCITING! I can't wait for my next trip to Vegas :)
I took some clips recently at The Cure concert on my 13 Pro using ProRaw and was blown away by the results. It’s amazing what these phones are capable of… and while being essentially a point and shoot.
It's all Las Vegas. The video starts about a minute after the plane turned right to start its downwind leg. It then turns left to base over Henderson and then left again to final for runway 26L.
@@flightseeingwithphotomatt I found it odd that the plane took the round about route it did to land in the direction it did. But that did give you an excellent backdrop to film. Is there a rule against planes flying in from an easterly point, going over the Hoover Dam??
@@HardRockMaster7577 This was a flight from Orange County, California, so it was coming from the Southwest. This is the most common landing pattern for flights coming from Southern California. The second most common landing pattern is straight in to runway 1L.
