I love the inside episodes on the polo reef, it is mind blowing the magnitude of and scale of the daily job to look after this amazing tank, it really is the result of money’s no object and absolute passion for reefing, amazing!
I’m from Buffalo, yep 👍 the shops in Cheektowaga. Cool to know this guy has coral right here from Buffalo in his tank. Not Florida, not California, but Buffalo!
Your Reef Tank keeps getting closer and closer to the real thing. My bucket list dream way back was to drive the Great Barrier Reef, Now I only got to drive in Andrews tank in New York. lol
@StourysReef Yeah, no joke having to epoxy large colonies - I guess its a badge of honor doing on this reef. I too copied Abes method in my 400 gallon and glad I did bc it makes it easy to trim and move things around without much stress to the corals and ourself. Keep em coming these are amazing productions and will get more views in time.
@StourysReef I would be yes. Winning in that case would be coming to Andrew's place to see it in person? Trust me if I was local I would volunteer to work in that tank 🤣🤣
Love the team effort! You guys are a great group :) Can we get a video on making the plug stem holders? Or an ID if they're off the shelf? Love Abe's idea, but can't drill my rock.
Awesome to see more content and all the effort into this phenomenal reef, one question plenty of reef eating fish with angels and butterfly fish but no moorish idols which seems strange, everywhere here in Australia,
Wow wow wow! Absolutely stunning! I am always amazed about the amount of work that goes into making this beautiful reef. It always seems so exhausting to be on the go all the time. Great job as always!
Do you have a link on the frag plug holders from the ~4:00 timestamp? Love the idea and the glue on holders you are using. Thanks for all the information you all are sharing.
Hi guys. First off I must say I love following along this system and it's journey. Truly amazing. The best part for me is how much knowledge and passion you have for the hobby. I just saw in Thans review that you are using a Clearwater ozone. Than didn't go into but are you using the oxygen compressor and contact tanks ? I know lot of equipment that you use is pool industry equipment. That's what I do for a living so just curious. You may or not need either but maybe at least the oxygen compressor. On a pool we are looking for 650-750 MV but obviously in a reef that would be sterile. Of course PH directly affects ORP.
thank you. we have used oxygen before and its loud and strong. i prefer the air drying units if the box is big enough so its quieter and stays on smoother. we are going to upgrade units Clearwater and ozotech not easy to deal with customer service and delivery times
@@PoloReef Thanks for the reply. The oxygen compressor that Clearwater uses really does not produce much noise. Definitely not anymore than all of those pumps ;) Downside is they do need to be rebuilt periodically. You are correct Clearwater service is not great although Clearwater is now part of pentair. Sadly you typically have to send the compressor in for maintenance. Again love what you guys ate going. Big fan
My brother in law lives on long Island and me and my wife visit him occasionally. Do you give tours of your tank or is it just for school groups? It would be an amazing thing to see it in person one day!
If you watch episode 1 they mention that all corals go through a quarantine process, you don’t run a reef like this without following strict processes of husbandry and aquascaping learnt over many years of reefing, you don’t devote half a house to this tank and neglect the simple stuff, to be fair it did look like the corals arrived and went straight in but this is not the case
Hello author friend, I am a young person who just started a business and need your help. I would like you to help my company to make an unboxing video of aquarium lights. We also know that you are very popular with your fans so we found you.
