Other than placing the cam to the passenger side opposed to the drivers side ( passenger side is mostly recommended), I think this is the best video of this cam going round YT. Top job mate 👍📹
I bought the F7NP and unfortunately discovered that it only really works with the associated power supply. If you drive an electric vehicle, there is no cigarette lighter, only USB-C charging points. If you connect the dashcam to these and try to supply it with voltage, it unfortunately doesn't respond. And since this is a company vehicle, I'm not allowed to add anything about the vehicle's technology (Redtiger F7N dashcam hardwire kit). So no function without a cigarette lighter.
The problem with connecting the dash cam to your phone is that if you are using Android Auto with your phone, Android Auto will disconnect when the dash cam connects- you can’t run both simultaneously. I need a dash cam that works in conjunction with the Android Auto.
That same thing happens with apple CarPlay, for what I’ve seen in the comments of other cameras. I’m looking for a solution for that issue before getting a dashcam. Any help with this issue would be appreciated:)
Keep in mind if your car is dirty after it's going to affect the quality of your footage. Keep you windows perfect and you'll have clearer images. Don't believe me? Put fingerprints all over your phone camera and take Pics clean and dirty. Even the s24 ultra 200mp will be blurry if it's dirty
128gb micro SD card, it could record more than 8 days, but it all depends on how many hours you drive per day. The camera is supposed to automatically delete older videos freeing up space without you doing it manually
Every time the engine is off and on we have to connect wifi each and every time. We cant use it when the phone and car are in different places, waste 😒
This is a fantastic video. Very well thought out and thorough. I learned more from this video than from the user manual and spending time looking up the manufacturer’s videos. Only thing I don’t understand is does the camera record on its own when I start my car or do I have to press a button for it to record?
hi brother - how the camera performs at night? are you able to read the number plates clearly at night? is it truly delivers 4k resolution in the videos? how much you will rate? how the suction cup works?
Yes the front camera is 4K and is very clear to read the license plates. the rear camera es the one that is less resolution 1080p so it's a little more blurry at night but you can still can read the license plate when the car is close to the camera. Thanks👍
@@Shinegadget this is not true, F7N uses Sony IMX335 sensor which is for 2K resolution, not 4K. They just upscale it to 4K and this is quite a low quality marketing trick and doesn't make practical sense.
I just bought mine and will get here next week. Just curious if you back windshield is tinted that may affect the way the back camera looks. My back windshield has a 5% tint so that’s why I ask. Otherwise awesome video thanks! Excited to get mine in.
Good video. Got an issue. I had a hard wire kit. Bit it as well. Bit it tells me on the parking mode, you must plug acc wire. But its is connected and it is working. So, when I turn off my car, it is still filming. Got an idea?
Nice video. It would have been good to see you running the cables for the power and rear camera. I just ordered this camera, and will be viewing your video when I am setting it up.
@Shinegadget do you typically detach the dash cam and bring it in if you live an apartment complex? And does it continue to record when hardwired? Does hardwiring easy and/or more wear and tear on your car? TY
Great video new subscriber looking forward tomore videos. I'm trying to figure out how you get your speed on the camera to show could you please tell me how you do that so I can record it
Hi Great video, very clear tutorial, 2 questions, I assume you connect the front camera to a fuse, the rear to the tail lights, Can you please confirm. Regards welshman2081
Hello, the cigarette lighter socket in my vehicle works even if the vehicle is turned off. If I connect the camera there, will the parking mode work without purchasing an additional kit?
Hi, I just want to ask does the camera still recording even when you are parked and the car is off? Because I want the camera to still recording even the car is off. I want to capture who’s scratching my car when I’m not there.
Can you tell me how you turn wifi back off after you’re done downloading the videos? I try to turn off the wifi through settings but I get an error message blocking me from the settings unless i turn off my ignition and turn it back off again.
when the car is on, the camera is always recording and the latest video should be on the SD card. You can download the video with the app to your phone. Thanks 👍
Just got this camera & im just trying to figure out how can i use the app without being near my car is that even possible or you need to be near at all times ?
Also looking for a cam for my old 51 year old car. This should record inside and whatever else it captures from outside at least thats what ive experience with a few of them
Awesome video!! Thanks for putting this together. Question is there a separate video file for the rear facing camera or it's always in Picture in Picture mode like you see on the screen? And did you install the hardwire kit for the 24H parking feature?
Hi. Hope you don't mind if I try to answer this. I have this dash cam and, yes the front and rear files are contained in two separate folders and can be viewed as full videos. The PIP is just for viewing purposes as you are driving. Sorry, I did not install the hardwire kit. I know this is late but I hope it helps.
@@rickv6895 press the “up” button which is the top right button and it will lock it. When you do that you will see that a a symbol of a lock 🔒 in the middle of the screen. On the app, it will save that video in its own section so is it easier to find.
Thanks for the great video and explanation. Bought mine 2 months ago but very reluctant to mess with the fuse box as I really don’t know what to do in there. Unfortunately it’s still in the wrappers in the box!
For the hardwiring kit you only need to find an accessory fuse. something like horn fuse or license plate light fuse. here is a video how to find it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_HAKnVv1Tf4.html 👍
Thanks good and valuable video I have question Is there any different in cam resolution between model F7N and F7NP?? I saw the manual yes there is different But in Ali express you can’t tell because confusion when I ask the seller he told me they are same resolution So what do you think ??
Falling asleep with the presentation. Plus the accent is difficult to follow. Why don't you just keep it in Spanish altogether so you don't butcher up the English.
Native English speaker here--I had no problems understanding his English, and I was happy he went through the camera's features so quickly and efficiently.
