I'm not sure if this is common. See the other comments. It was my first visit, so I wasn't really familiar with the resort. There were no queue problems later in the day...
I’ve just got back from rise festival which was held here 9-16th December and never saw any ques or anything like that the whole time I was there. I wouldn’t let this put you off
Those que's, yikes. The French school holidays must have started. Hope the resort is less busy in early Feb. As for the resort, its had a good dump of snow, but the runs sound icy. Hope it has some more snow by the time I get there.
@@ChasingSnow Right, well I hope those morning que's are not the norm, as for the weather conditions, I have a little over 7 weeks before I go there, time enough for a fresh large dump all over the resort.
I think steep is ok for a blue if it is wide, so you can crisscross and take the steepness out... I find avoiding all the people more of a challenge ;-) Having said that, some blues are quite challenging, especially if you're not familiar with them. Where do you find find it steep? Can you time mark it?
I was there 5 weeks ago. This gondola always has a queue in the morning. It is avoidable, there is possible to reach the glacier without using it. I've realised that the first day (after waiting in line) and did not use it in the morning the following days. There we no lines at it later in the day.
@@blazeswitt728Diable + Super diable or Belle Etoille+Cretes+ Superdiable. Once on top ski to Sautet and from there to Pierre Grosse. This takes you near the top of the glacier (you can take funicular to the very top). Queues are much shorter.
@slawyan80 I don't think it was that long. The queue was 40x, and the lift is usually 15x. I record at 10x and speed up as necessary. I did use a whole battery by the time I reached the top...
