Top of Corne de Sorebois (2876m) to the start of Grimentz-Espace-Weisshorn (1570) Grimentz-Zinal.
Complete round trip, Zinal to Grimentz and back to the starting point (Zinal Corne de Sorebois). Skiing, walking, téléphérique (cable car) and ski lift. I did this run quite a few times, it was the most challenging of the season, quite steep but camera view doesn't really show it.

That's ground speed, air speed is faster, I have other videos with air speed

Beautiful place! Please don't put this kind of garbage music (the first one), I had to mute the video from the start to avoid having a stroke.

This is an old video, I don't put music anymore when skiing...I do on the lift when there is no sound.

I like your videos, but that overlay with the speedometer, altitude is one big mistake. You need an accurate elevation map - DEM - Digital Elevation Map - to correctly determine your speed when you change altitude. Something that GoPro does not have. The effect of this is as we see - overestimated speed, while the difference in height flies at some point as if you were falling from a building and not skiing down the slope :) Sorry, not buying it.

Black?? Redish more like it. As for 100kph. Sorry but no, if shot on GoPro they tend to be very optimistic as speed is calculated at the time of production not filming.

Hi Neil, yes, shot with a GoPro HERO9 which has built in GPS. It is generally OK and think it was reasonably accurate in this video. It's hard to determine slope when filming which is why I added the "grade" gauge later, showing this is definitely black. Sorry mate - top half of Chamois is proper black. Unless you have skied it I don't think you can comment. Plenty of inflated pistes abut but Chamois is not one of them

Well well well I ski this black one and I can confirm it's freaking steep. Those 100 kph is no fake. You'll gain that speed in a no time on that slope. But obviously it's just about "the legs" to sustain it. Cheerz! BTW Nicely done skiing! Love your videos. You have to have stamina for Val d'Anniviers for sure. I can confirm.
