the emotion is most likely part of the performance, but don’t let that take away from the fact he is an amazing performer/vocalist, he really does it all as if he’s been performing his entire life
It speaks volumes about a band and their fans when the crowd doesn't ruin a song in live videos. The voices behind Vessel just work alongside him, and it's so beautiful live this song, holy shit
I love how they use the color of the lights to represent the dynamic between vessel and sleep. Red represents vessel, blue is sleep. You can see the power struggle shown through the light display. For this song sleep prevailed in the end.
It seems like that emotion from vessel in this (my favorite) song is part performance but I imagine the song just gets to him too. But particularly at this show after losing his voice and such support from the fans, it feels like it was so genuine this night. My first watch I was moved to tears. Also, 3&4 embracing at 3:23 was a nice touch. Just beautiful.
Holy moly. This is what seeing a live performance is all about. The lights, the band interactions, the energy from the crowd, the prominence of the backup vocals. It all adds a lot to the music.
I’ll never forget holding up my sign that said “Thank you for making me feel again” while he was standing nearly in front of me and sobbing with him during a the song. I hold Ascensionism so close to my heart because it’s a lot of what I wish I could say to my abuser but will never be able to, it was healing to scream it with so many people - the man himself included. I hope he saw my sign just so he could know he did that he really helped another person.
Hey, yeah I know who you are (not in a creepy way) I created Projekt Atlantic and remember seeing your sign. It’s hard to see where his six eyes are looking but I can be sure he looked to the front a fair few times! Sorry to hear about your past trauma but I’m glad you’ve found something to keep you going and feeling, it’s nice to have that. Whatever they make you feel, keep hold of it and remember the feeling when you’re down 🩵
The dancers made that song even more groovy. I also loved the choir dropping in soo soulful. And Vessel himself, he literally lives that song, making it super dramatic. A night to remember for sure.
This is of the other Galaxy...omg, i never, never seen something so beautiful like this band. I need, need to go see this band live. Just a masterpiece. I cry watching this, is so emotional, so beautiful and heavy.
The Sleep Choir was puttin in work. Same with the crowd helping Vessel out while he was feeling ill. But the Choir, them ladies were cookin. I think ST need ti sit down with Rammstein to get their stage set up. The guys walk around so much but the stage seems so empty with just the three of them up there. Maybe Till can let Vessel borrow his wings from the Engel set to kick it up a notch or they could borrow Flake's treadmill. Thats the only thing i see missing on their live set.
Like someone else mentioned i feel like the dancers are a prank, vessel or whoever having fun messing with people, there definately wasnt dancers at the ritual i went to (unless you count IIIs killer moves❤) stateside they had cowboy hats at shows, kissing, work out competitions, other pranks and i got a sweet fist bump from III (who has huge hands btw) but i didnt see that😂
Unfortunately not, I usually video a handful of songs when I go to shows but this time I wanted to limit how much time I spent on my phone at the show. Thanks for your kind words! 🙌
He had an illness and lost his voice, it was announced to the crowd like a song into the performance. This happened to The Weeknd and he cancelled mid performance. Idk what to tell you, he did what he could!
Just every once in a while, I wish people would stfu and let the band perform. When they want input, they usually stop and consider participation. It's not your car.
