Entering and leaving a celestial bodies atmosphere is straight up awe inspiring. Being able to freely fly across the surface lets you get a true feeling and sense of scale. Starfield should have NEVER shipped without these features.
I really wish Star Citizen was available to play on PS5 - until that time comes, we'll have to make do with admiring DayDream's wanderings of the game. Well done
I think Elite Dangerous it's a good alternative to this game, I've been playing that since it came out on ps plus extra. Another great game is No Man's Sky, I'm waiting for it to be on sale so I can give it a try
I doubt it will ever be playable on a console. Maybe Squad42 port but the MMO sandbox has too much going on to even think of playable on console. Elite tried it and ended up having to pull support from the console version because consoles couldn't handle the updates. So if Elite couldn't do it then there is no way SC can. You can always try some of the cloud gaming alternatives
They have stated many times that they will not be doing an Xbox or PlayStation port. Chris is a PC master race guy and you'd have to offer him millions to get him to give that up.
If you're waiting for the game to be released on PlayStation, you'll be waiting for a looooooong time. In fact, I think it may never come out on a console, or at least not for at least 10 years
Star field is crap compared to this….well duh, after hundreds of millions it fuckn better be…but yeh, you know what star field is? Out and ready to play…
Awhile ago, I asked you to cover this game as you hadn't posted ambient vids on it yet. A few months later, I come back to find 2 star citizen videos!. Amazing
Just want to say I love your channel. Favorite one on RU-vid. Would love to see you do some retro games like Ocarina of Time. Seriously love your Cyberpunk and Star Citizens walks though. True master of the feels and the vibe. Thank you for your time recording and uploading. Has been a blessing for sleep therapy. Truly makes a difference.
Omg yessss I was waiting for you to do this game!!! I'm super happy omg!!! Thank youuuu!!! Next can you do one in the interiors too? Like the space colony and buildings?? It would be amazing!!1
For a game that isn’t even in beta yet, Star Citizen puts most feature complete AAA games to shame. It’s a buggy, broken mess; but it’s a FUN buggy broken mess. The brokenness can be quite jarring sometimes, but since 3.22, I’ve been having a blast in the ‘Verse :)
This looks amazing. I'm glad to say that I was a backer, but also my taste for games that look as slow as this has dropped off quite significantly. Although I can play it whenever I want and have an extra capable rig for it, I will probably stick to admiring it on the youtubes. However I am eager to see how the pacing may differ for Squadron 42.
it really has a huge potential, in about half a decade with the assist of AI programs + upcoming new servers will allow similar games to become fully interactive and dynamic. We're in 2023 guys, it's actually incredible that we've already reached such level in the gaming industry.
The game places needs better names. Microtech and Babbage seems a bit cheesy. Besides the places are interesting on itself. I think this city needs ginormous skyscrapers, just few and other megastructures to settle the mood. The player should fly anywhere at any given time, of course. Other than that the game is arriving at the goals that it promised previously.
@@LorenzoFrausto What's funny? The idea of this game having other lifeforms, or just the idea of lifeforms on moons? A moon is just a satellite, not a category based on whether or not you "could" see life on them at some point. The Space Odyssey series tries to be somewhat grounded in its sci-fi reasoning when it's not being trippy, and the second and third books are about the lifeforms living on the moon Europa. The moons in our solar system are quite varied and have things like liquid and volcanoes, so moons can theoretically be just as sustainable as other planets. They don't have to be all barren dry rock of nothingness like our moon.
@@festersmith8352 what if they just turn down the servers? What about your progress ? Ya hay if for some reason you don’t have internet because you travel or something. I don’t like to be stuck and not been able to play your games which you pay for ?
@@TheKnightDriver Thats a lot of worry about what ifs. I get it. Nothing wrong with some healthy pessimism. But this bordering on rationalized fear. But if your gonna make choices on a bunch what ifs that may never happen, you're gonna be missing out on a lot of experiences. And a lot of todays games are server based. What if you like sky diving but your parachute don't open. But people do it. and really enjoy it. If you do actually travel a lot, than I may understand not getting involved in SC. But I know truck drivers who play in their trucks just about anywhere here in the US. If you live outside the US, I don't know your internet infrastructure. Turn down the servers, Im not sure I understand what that means. But turn them off, and the game and company die. Not seeing that happening. But it could happen to any game, and it has. Usually because not enough people are playing to keep them on. SC isn't losing players, its gaining them everyday.
What is the assumption of this game? I know it's futuristic but how come it is easy to leave a planet's orbit? do these ships have special engines? Beautiful game though.
I do so luv a nice lazy fly over new Babbage, it’s the only city…maybe also Orison you can fly over without getting fined for trespassing, area 18 and lorville have both fined me 20k for doing just that
You capture it on a 4k resolution, however most of the textures in this aren't 4k, and a vast majority are just normal mapped to look highly detailed. It looks tremendously more consistent then most but all your ground/mountains terrains as all normal mapped. Barely any real ground, its all texture volume and "for looks" materials. I'd say its a solid 1080p texture upscaled to 4k resolution. It's getting there though, but its definitely not 4k yet.
Tried downloading this, just says it can't load because anti-cheat isn't installed. So I install anti-cheat and it still doesn't work it just says anti-cheat isn't installed. Biggest waste of time ever, pile of shit.
When thousands play it, but you can't, the common denominator is on your end. I seen a few with this issue, and so far every solution was the user and their settings.
@@festersmith8352 I mean, it says to install anti-cheat, so I do. It then says I can't play because Anti-cheat isn't installed? What else can you do when you literally follow the instructions exactly and it does not work?
While this looks awesome and all that, does Star Citizen offer any prewritten story content, perhaps a campaing mode or something like that, or is it a write your own story kind of sandbox ?
Sandbox with some lore bits. The Story-Game is called Squadron 42 and is a solo / offline game. It should be released 2025/26 and is feature-ready atm. ✌️
an ambitious project! it just doesn't fit in my head - from a blade of grass to a whole system without a suture world!! excellent graphics, but optimization is still not very good... I want to buy a game on free flights, but bugs discourage all desire!
Right now they are hard at work to finish the updated rendering system, and finally be able to implement Vulkan, FSR and DLSS. It's only a matter of time (hopefully next year).
I yearn for the day Star Citizen is more stable to a reliably playable game. I love the premise and what it offers but its so unstable,. RSI could do wonders for their reputation by just spending some time on QoL and not more MTX ships.
You realize only a fraction of the devs work on the ships? And if they did focus on QOL, than the ones that want more content get pissed. And when they add that more content, then it breaks the QOL again. Its a struggle of balance in game dev, and gamers just can't be happy either way. No one is ever going to give us Ready Player One, cause no one has the guts to do it. Not even the gamers who couldn't handle the wait for it to be built. At least CIG is trying to start the evolution to do so.
Hi DayDream! Is there a way I could contact you regarding video usage? I'd love to use your gta walking videos for a free to play game I'm creating, please let me know!😄
Hey! I have done some videos ik theHunter: COTW - find here: ru-vid.com/group/PL0md4p3yznb-F9rBJlsExFYAjit9DBN9B But I might give it a revisit in some of the newest maps!
Plot twist: This is the Planetos homeworld 1000 years after the events of Game of Thrones. The discovery and use of the explosive Wildfire enabled the construction of the first cannons and huge rifles that basically rendered dragons extinct, and allowed the construction of mining infrastructures for their growing industrial civilization.
it's interesting to a point. Then, I ask myself where is the interaction? Where are animals? Any birds? Do you have a mission? Do you need to sustain your self by finding fuel for the body...? A more involved character and purpose would elevate this for me... I imagine it exists maybe you just wanted to explore with out the other aspects of the sim...?
This is exploring, no need for a mission, just you and your ship. Food and water can be carried in your personal storage, armor or backpack, and equally stored on your ship. No other life except human. Your never far from a mining colony, outpost, or station, so all it takes is a little prep and experience to stay alive. Any ship with a jump drive and bed, and you can now bed log where you land, you wake up in your ship, and carry on exploring. There are currently 2 planets and an assortment of moons which are all explorable, soon more with Pyro. I have currently melted all my ships except: Corsair/MSR/A1/Valkyrie/F8 Lightning/Vulture/Reclaimer/Prospector/Arrow/ARES/ and more, only have an Aurora LN just to go exploring.
There are missions delivery, PI, bounties, cargo recovery, multiplayer events and racing as well Next you are not a HERO character this is a sandbox game, so you need to find your own purpose. Food, drink, and medical game play all exist. Animals are not place yet as they want human AI to finish 1st, and they need the replication and server meshing tech in place to properly support that.
@@RichGallant Yeah, well talk is cheap and plentiful with CIG, yet they do seem intent on delivering of late, slipped up with that old dog the F8, but i forgive them that one. The chaos of Pyro is infectious though
Really Star Citizen! What's to explore if all land scape is barren and looks the same for 100miles? The game looks awesome in certain areas, but please don't just make land mass just to say you made the game such and such so big to explore. That planet in the 1st part of the vid, is also monotone....nothing interesting at all, sorry.
i dont really see any planets rotating, they rotate a few 1k mph thats what nasa said , and traveling through space at the same time at like insanely fast idk im jus askin cuz the planets are just still , i dont see the galaxy moving not even a millimeter
