This past Saturday evening we explored Carytown. Carytown is an urban retail district that lines Cary Street at the southern end of the Museum District in Richmond, Virginia. Also located near The Fan District, the district has an eclectic flavor with over 230 shops, restaurants, cafes and offices. Apart from the many shops and eateries, the area also features blocks of 1920 era homes as you near the Museum District. Carytown is also home to the Byrd Theatre, a restored movie palace that shows second run movies and has operated since 1928.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your walk around Carytown. My favorite shop is Tipsy Cupcakes, try the Boozy Maple Bacon! I also like Rocket Fizz, interesting things to see in there.

Thanks for watching! We love Carytown. We didn't get a chance to stop in any of the shops on this trip, so our plan is to definitely go back. We'll have to check out the two places you mentioned :)

Beautiful place I been here today to a few spots for food and snacks we're visiting from Durham NC to have a getaway for the weekend before going back to work at Duke busy hospitals while the daughter is with the granny's in Myrtle beach SC

Richmond reminds me so much of the Northeast u would never know it was once the capital of the Confederacy nothing like any city in the south a lot like Newark , DC, Baltimore and philly its extremely diverse lots to do and see perfect location right in the middle of everything a true mid atlantic city i love RVA. Gei Gei; Sounds like RVA has everything that you would want. High crime rate, excessive taxation, high real estate tax that is being passed on to financially strapped renters, urban decay, dangerous ghettos bleeding over into other parts of the city, nightly shootings, drugs, arrogant , spoiled ANTIFA generation churls who have an unfriendly attitude, normalized anti-white racism, a police force that has been neutered by a corrupt, anti-cop mayor. Yep, you;'re right. Richmond is getting more and more like Newark , DC, Baltimore and Philly everyday. And don't forget Camden, New Jersey.

Carytown kinda put me in a mind of Georgetown in DC but smaller and don't have alot of national brands stores

We think so. It was a fair amount of people there, but we’ve definitely seen it busier. Now that things are opening back up, maybe we’ll go for a second video there!
