Koganecho used to be a dark area known as a brothel and slum, but after a large-scale exposé in 2005, it is now being revitalized as an art district. Galleries and cafes are lined up under the elevated railway tracks, and local residents and the government are working together to create a safe and secure town.
Koganecho has been revitalized as a town of art, and the "Koganecho Bazaar" art event is held every year!
