In comparison with Tokyo, the crowd at Hakata station was at a comfortable level, even though it was a weekend! I felt relieved, weekend crowd will not be my concern when planning my itinerary for next year trip to Fukuoka. This reminded me when I was at Tenjin last year, 29Dec, a last Friday before the new year, the crowd then was also at an acceptable level. That was also one of the reasons I like Fukuoka, I can escape from crowd yet I am still in a city! And I am sure I will continue to revisit Fukuoka after my trip next year! Of course for those who crave for much vibrant vibe, the will bustling Tokyo will suit them more. Hence perhaps it’s not a matter of where is better, but rather which place will suit each person needs. The view from the top floor of Hakata station, to me, is always a mind calming haven, whether it’s evening or night. If I have the time, I will want to stand there and watch the sky turn from golden to night. I was a bit distracted when watching the video, as I was busy looking at the shops signboard and advertisements around, to test if I could read them 😅 Sadly I could only read the hiragana characters ( but without understanding the meaning…). The signs used a lot of mixture of katakana and kanji, which I have not learnt yet… As always, thank you for the beautifully shoot video. Now I find another advantage of watching, to test my language proficiency by reading the Japanese characters which appear in the video lol

The precision and clarity of your description of the landscape in your comments is still always very good. And you also spoke the truth about each person's preferences and values. I can be sure that there are many others who agree with you, not to mention that I agree with you. In fact, it would give me too much pleasure to know what you think of the view from the top floor of Hakata Station next year, standing there with your own eyes. And your comment about paying attention to the city's billboards was a great comment at the best time for me, because right now I'm using DARPA, my editing software. I am currently working on a series of corrections in my editing software, da Vinci Resolve 19, to make those billboards and the advertising images on the big screen monitors in the city more visible. (It is a definite fact that the super-thanks you donated allowed me to make an expensive paid update to my editing software, for which I am very grateful to you.) As you are smart enough to understand right away, large screen monitors and advertising electric billboards in the city are the most difficult task to capture images of their contents as nicely as the city scenery. This is because they are designed with the top priority of getting passersby to see the advertisement and not taking into account that they will be filmed by a camera (which is obvious). The amount of light on those billboards and large screen monitors in the city is very strong, and the frequency of their displays changes very quickly and there are reflections on the screen (and many other factors), so it is quite difficult to capture the scenery of the city as well as the text on those monitor screens, images, and electronic billboards. I use editing software to correct them as much as possible. Thanks to you for telling me that you paid attention to the Japanese characters on the billboards for the sake of study, I am very glad that I worked hard on this detailed and time-consuming task. Thank you so much.

@@FUKUOKAWALKERjapan I am glad that you are always so humble and expressed your gratefulness to me. However, I am also grateful to you! For each video, you had put in lots of effort to plan the walking route, walked the long path while ensuring the video filming was done in the best angle, which was even more challenging when it rained. And the post filming video editing, which I am sure you, being a very responsible creator, also takes up a lot of your time to ensure the best video quality before you release the video to viewers. I, as a viewer, did nothing and yet can enjoy watching by simply clicking to open the video, whereas you had done all the hard work! And through your wonderful videos, not only I can see the development of Tenjin (which was my original intention of following your channel), I soon began to grew interest to see other areas of Fukuoka: the new open train station, areas around Hakata station, the captivating sky during sunset at Hakata station (my favourite), the beautiful cherry blossom bloom, festival celebrations etc through your picture perfect videos. I realised Fukuoka is even much more charming than my initial impression! Thank you for all the beautiful videos! Through your past experiences, as well as the planning and courageous execution of Tokyo challenge, I realised that you, the creator of this channel, was not only hardworking, humble and responsible, but also a person with strong perseverance and resilient. You had taken all unforeseen challenges in your stride. This gave me a very lasting impression. I had learnt from you the importance of strong perseverance and seeing things positively, and this help me in stepping out of my comfort zone too, to learn a new language! And now I learn about great news that you’re using the new editing tools to sharpen the billboard images (you are right, the human eyes and camera frequency processing is at different speed, hence will be more challenging when filming such bright billboards)! This will make the Japanese characters more visible, which is great for my learning! ありがとうございっます Unexpectedly, over time, I had gained so much more from this channel than my original intention (Tenjin), and I am really very glad and touched. Hence, I, though not as smart as you had thought, am also really sincerely grateful to you too!

All your comments, actions and thoughts are a great support to me! How is your progress in learning Japanese? I'm also happy to hear your thanks in Japanese hiragana for all the hard work you put into typing it out. I'm sure that learning Japanese will bring a new wind to your brain, improve your trip to Fukuoka next spring to a richer experience, and have many other very positive effects. (Probably brain activation) And when you told me the original purpose of subscribing to my channel, it was a very useful word that gave me a big realization and a look back at the past. Because it was one of the viewer behaviors that find my channel. And as you pointed out, I'm now able to challenge myself to make my videos look more beautiful thanks to the improved video editing software I use now. I was surprised that it now takes at least 24 hours to export a video even with a high-performance computer, but how to overcome this challenge is another new challenge for me. By the way, I discovered that the more recent the device, the more detailed the video can be picked up, making it easier to convey beautifully. Although we are in different fields, I feel the same way about your challenge to learn a language. Your gratitude motivates me to work harder. We are both great motivators. I am also looking forward to hearing about your progress in learning Japanese!!

@@FUKUOKAWALKERjapan Since you are looking back on viewers behaviour in finding your channel, just to share that actually besides Tenjin, another important factor that your videos caught my attention last December was the weather. The weather forecast was swinging up and down then, with cold wave in and out in Fukuoka. As your videos were very up to date during that time, I was looking at the clothing of the people in the videos to guess the latest temperature, and my first comment in this channel was actually asking you how was the weather in Fukuoka ( and surprisingly and thankfully you replied)! Hope this is helpful to you. And you mentioned newer devices can pick up details better, so I checked the same video with my old android mobile phone and current iPhone, but I see there’s no significant difference? Or maybe it’s just me can’t tell the difference in video quality between the two phones. While learning hiragana is similar to learning English alphabet, learning each word (vocabulary) formed by hiragana is tough, and Japanese language sentence structure is different from English and Chinese (now you know I am not as smart as you had thought). My only consolation is the strokes of Japanese characters are similar to how we write Chinese characters, and my most beloved language is Chinese language. Even now, I do my thinking in Chinese language (Asian is very well in my blood!) Hence Japanese language, which looks similar to Chinese characters, it feels closer to my heart than other foreign languages and this motivated my learning too. And also thanks to our government, who encourages everyone to upgrade themselves by providing subsidies to adults to attend courses (in other words the course is free!) And now I can count in hundreds and thousands in Japanese, though still very confused by the rules, why sanbyaku, roppyaku, why every object ends with a は, why all sentences must end with です😅 But the new learning journey do makes my days more enriching now!

@@PPPP-hh6bo Thank you for providing useful information so quickly. Your story reminded me of the weather we talked about. At the time, I was posting the latest Fukuoka videos every day, but it was so taxing that it was like a task that was taking my life, so I decided that continuing it for a long time would be harmful to my health and have now changed my method. I was very convinced that the latest weather and climate information is what viewers want. Thank you for letting me know. And I will also praise myself for replying to you at that time. (lol) After I commented, I carefully compared my old device, the Galaxy Note 8, with my new device, and as you said, I couldn't see much of a difference. The old device didn't display HDR, but the new device did, so I thought the new device looked better, but I corrected that and concluded that I don't really know the difference and that the way it looks depends on how people perceive it. Thank you for your honest point. It's also very interesting to hear your story about your progress in learning Japanese. Because you focus on things that I, a native Japanese person, don't question at all. Now that you mention it, your question (how to read 500 and 600) is natural! And I don't know the answer to that question either (lol). When I was a child, my teacher told me to remember it because it was the rule. (lol) I was surprised that you can already count to hundreds and thousands, and this is just my intuition, but the more you work hard, the more humble you are. And the fact that the Singaporean government's subsidies are excellent (I often hear that Changi Airport is also very good) and that you have a strong attachment to the Chinese language were also new discoveries for me. Of course, simplified Chinese is included in the approximately 20 languages that are set up to create titles and descriptions! After talking with you, I was able to understand very well why the default settings for RU-vid title translation input are English and Chinese (simplified) for Singapore!
