Great video. Maybe consider the Transmission Bench site for parts. His videos are painfully meticulous but wow does he go over everything. His 80E video cost 60 bux but if it is like his free videos, then you will be set on fixing/inspecting your tranny.

Really digging these 4L80 Videos. I've never taken one apart although I've rebuilt several th350s and 400s. Other than electronics there doesn't seem to be alot of difference in complexity. good to know! 👍

I'm glad your rebuilding your trans.I'd rather do my own myself.I have a 4R70w which is supposed to be the easiest trans to rebuild.Loving the video's.

You have a great series going on here, nice quality footage. I wish I had the patience to document my projects lol. I rebuilt a Subaru automatic, was my first auto I worked on. I'm sure the Subaru guys would have appreciated a video on it. Maybe one day I'll produce some vids.

Thanks for the video sure helps I have a 95 4l80e and overheated believe some planetary gears have seized up mainly the primary and I cannot get that bolt that holds it through the valvebody loose and wondering any suggestions thank you

Man I can't believe all the pieces involved...very interesting...will be cool seeing which pieces need replacing...I'm guessing new clutches and bearings for sure...oh and FOIST
