Hello, last picture on the parts supplier's website shows a remote control. I didn't see you utilize that? Did yours come with a separate remote?

Hello, your original remote works for the tail gate by pressing the open (unlock) 3 times. Hope that helps.

Question...Does yours open and close with the three presses of the unlock button on the key fob/remote? Mine isn't doing it. It opens/closes fine with everything else (outside trunk handle, trunk button, and dash button). I've hooked everything up except for the foot/kick sensor.

Hi, I’m my case does not work because the 3 unlockes will bring the windows down. For the regular models work.

Hello, the lock mechanism has a release just like the factory in case something goes wrong, open the door. The struts are powerful, so it require muscle to push up. I hope that helps.

Ok so it does open fine if the 4Runner is not park on a hill where the rear is higher than the front.

I replaced the system yesterday and I noticed that the new motor has a gap on top. You motor is the same? And I could reinstall the cover. Did you reinstall the plastic cover? Thank you

Hello, I am not sure about the gap on the motor you are mentioned, maybe an image will help. On the other hand, the cover was a little hard to get it back in place with the new mechanism, but with double side tape, it works.

I had to replace everything, cables and connectors were different, the only thing I did not replace was the kick sensor. Hope that helps. Thank you

I have that on my 2020 4Runned & it worked great for the first couple months. Now my lift gate won’t open. It makes the beep noise & begins to slightly open but the latch doesn’t release & it ends up sucking back closed. Have you experienced this or do you have any tips for me? It sucks not being able to access it without crawling in & manually unlatching it. Thanks.

Hello, sorry to hear that is not working. I have not experiencing the issue. I think that something on the board of the lock got damage or one of the cables got disconnected or is not making contact. I will remove it and test the connections to see what is damage. I hope that helps. Thank you

Can you please tell me where you connected the 30 amp green fuse into your fuse box. What is that space labeled as?

Hello, there is a 30amp fuse in the box I use, no one specific. Since it was 30, I used that one. I hope that helps.
