A few improvements to be made: 1. Let the inner ring out on one side. Inner-outer-mix for both rings. 2. Add a third ring. 3. "Strap" the skater in those 3 rings. Then he can roll around and skate upside down.

Couldn't be done with this setup; the vertices of the decagons wouldn't be flush against each other, without a bunch of extra hardware holding it together

You generally don't put washers and nuts on screws, you use those for bolts. Screws are usually pointed and self-tapping, whereas bolts are typically flat on the end and require a fastener to hold them in place. But yes, it'd serve them well to use some proper hardware lol

They used the powerdrill to put in the screws, I think he was flattening the other side of the screws for safety reasons. He was hitting the parts of the board where the screws would come out. Don't want to fall on a bunch of points.
