4th Gen Ford Super Duty Shock Upgrade with PMF Dual Steering Stabilizer - This week I am upgrading the shocks on the F-250 and adding the PMF Dual Steering Stabilizer with matching shocks. Great upgrade and really like the results! Let me know what you think!

I love reviews like this. Short & straight to the point & a follow up of how the parts feel & react. I was going to go with all fox shocks myself but im never off road in my 11 F250 6.7 4X4 off Road, unkess im at the lake which isnt to often plus as you have stated they are over priced & people pay for the name to look & feel cool lol 😅. Anyhow When i got my truck it already had cheap Monroe shocks in the front & idk what the rears are "cheap somethings i assume" 😂 but they are all overly worn & leaking badly and the ride is sloppy , bouncy & rough 😮 I decided to try the NEXUS shocks but the ones i received were to big so iv got the rough country's coming in now, hopefully they will work ok for me but we shall see. It already had a "pro comp" dual steering stabilizer kit on it & a Billestein factory replacement steering stabilizer. All of those ive checked & are good however im still thinking of possibly upgrading the dual stabilizer kit as well just to see if i cant get an even better performance out kf the front end. My truck is fully deleted & tuned "mildly built" but still needs some tlc however 1 step at a time. Anyhow thank you for the review i appreciate your time brother 🙏

Thanks for the video. Doing all 4 corners Bilsteins on my 2021 6.7 hopefully this weekend if UPS plays nice. Did you lift your vehicle at all or place jack stands to complete? Did you remove tires?

Nope, the back is obvious and easy. The front, I just turned the wheels. The top nut on the front shocks is the worst part, but it isn't that bad. Good luck! I noticed a difference

@@WhitetailGarage Thanks for the feedback and help, I got it done! You are not lying about the front top nut. The allen easily stripped on both sides and using the ratcheting wrench was a pain in the ass. I ended up lowering the boot and putting 2 vise grips to grab the shaft. Put an 18mm socket and went to town. It was sooooo much easier. I saw several videos of dudes using a little allen key and ratcheting wrench, not sure I believe it 100% :)

hey there. Curious if you could tell me what you had replaced on the front suspension regarding the death wobble? I don't have this but I have a vibration that I'm wondering if they would be similar. I haven't replaced the track bar, drag link, or ball joints but it sounds like you've had to replace either all or some of those components. I appreciate what you're able to share.

My bad. Just saw your reply to the same question. What year is your truck? I've got a 2017

Good install video. Just curious what was the remedy for your death wobble issue?

The dealer replaced parts in the order of most worn. Most of the steering components were replaced. The last parts replaced were the track bar and the gear box. They chose to do them at the same time, one or both fixed the issue.

But you said in your video that steering stableier fix the death wobble for and one who doesn't know better will think this is a fix for it

I did not say that steering stabilizer fixed the death wobble. I had to go back and rewatch the video to make sure. The upgraded front suspension will reduce premature wear on steering components. That will lengthen the time between the next occurrence of any issue resulting from worn parts.

Good video! Why did you go with the double stabilizer versus the single?

Just wanted the most dampening. This was a highly recommended kit from what I found. After having almost all front end/steering components replaced to fix the death wobble, I went overkill here to try and slow any return of death wobble due to worn out steering components. I am the second owner and I am pretty sure the first owner had larger wheel/tire combo on all stock components. That is the theory floated around anyway....

You really don't need a dual

If you had a death wobble putting a steering stable did not fix anything it just band-aid the problem fix the worn out steering parts steering Stabler just help the vibration

I agree. The death wobble wasn't fixed by the stabilizer. It was fixed by the dealer replacing nearly every other steering component. The last two items replaced that resulted in the inability to reproduce the death wobble were the drag link and the gear box. I added the stabilizer to upgrade the suspension and reduce the impact on steering components in an effort to increase the time between now the next occurrence. Death wobble occurs because of worn steering components on a solid front axle vehicle.

What brand drag link and gear box did you install? Any other components? My tire shop keeps overlooking steering the steering issues I've brought up, so I'm doing it myself. I've been doing alot of research myself for the same driving style needs and you have just stamped my findings into concrete! Much appreciated!

It was Ford parts bought from the dealer. I have seen it suggested that aftermarket upgrading the drag link will improve the situation. Since dealer had just replaced it and I struggled to find an upgraded drag link for a stock height truck, I opted not to upgrade.

Ok, thank you very much! I believe I just need the tie rod at the pitman arm. I hope you got/get a nice Whitetail this year!!!
