Hey guys it’s the dude in the profile lol. Have fun with the spice, this deck absolutely destroys snake eyes. If anyone has any questions feel free to drop em here!
@@redoctober67honestly it depended on the matchup. Like against voiceless you wanna side out the cards that target like ring of destruction and bad luck blast. I always sided out the paleos and transaction rollback because I was so sick of drawing rollback lmfao.
Honestly hearing you going blind second but only having Lava golems and Mourners sounds very hard. Is the point to mostly let them play and fill thier own board so your traps do more damage?
Hey Thoughts on any of the following: Michion/timelords Balance of judgment Duality Chain energy I suspect some are too slow, and continuous cards are more at risk to destruction?
@FalconsZone6 while correct, conventional CB decks relied solely on the chaining aspect. Chain Strike being limited doesn't necessarily connotate the "Chain" terminology, unless I missed draw traps+Accumulated Fortune in there too.
This is such a sick combo that unfortunately I wasn’t able to pull off! I wanted to do this so bad but unfortunately never got the opportunity! I should definitely have mentioned it! Thanks for the reminder!
Did you play against any tempai? How was that match up? I actually played a similar deck friday night at locals and got 2nd (loss in final round to tempai) its been bugging me so i got on here for advice and found this video lol.
I absolutely love this! Question though, have you thought about putting more cards to stop your opp attacking hou directly, like Threatening Roar, Thunder Of Ruler etc? What about more draw power?
thanks dude! I considered cards like threatening roar in case they make me go first. And more draw power in the form of more pots could definitely be considered. Though I didn’t wanna play cards like accumulated fortune or reckless greed. The main reason being I didn’t wanna risk drawing too little burn cards, in almost all of my games I was winning turn 1-2 consistently since I just drew burn cards lol. If I was drawing draw/stall cards it gives the opponent more time to setup additional interruptions like shuffling Baronne back or setting up an s:p to make our cards do less damage!
I love the fact that you can allow your opponents to go first, which is huge in the meta now, and then combo off for 15 minutes by milling, sending, reborning, using 20 of their 40 cards lol, then you only needing 1 minute to set 5 pass and OTK. It's so satisfying 😌
It doesn't actually work anymore because of ring's new errata. Since you take damage first it only reflects your damage and since you didn't take damage because of barrel, ring deals 0 damage to the opponent.
I used a similar build for a case tournament and found that going 2nd was best. I was lucky my opponents would choose to go first everytime they win dice roll. The different card i side was skull invitation for heavy combo decks.
I'm surprised no 3 Waking The Dragon to get out a free Dragoon, or Last Warrior From Another Planet or Naturia Fusion if they nuke his backrow before setting up a board
Did anyone use the effect of volcanic Queen to send any card they controlli to the gy and burn for 1000 against you or you were just able to outdamage them anyways?
Nope, that’s way too slow lol. There were only 2 games where I was lower LP than my opponent and it never came up. Runick is also never doing that since you could kill them way faster than they could kill you since they’d need 8 turns.
You can play cards like Jar of Greed, Reckless Greed, Legacy of Yata-Garasu, and Accumulated Fortune if you want more draw power, but the downside is you may not be able to burn your opponent as quickly.
@@PandaQueen_ygo Yeah, I think that's probably the right choice in today's meta. Obviously cards like Reckless Greed and Accumulated Fortune have historically been a major part of burn decks, alongside other staples like Swift Scarecrow and Threatening Roar, but nowadays they seem to just be too slow and too prone to negates. In effect, in a format where your first 2 important cards are probably going to get negated, you need all your cards to do a lot more in order to compensate.
@amritlohia8240 I agree. In duels where is used greed it either never came up or just got negated. I found playing more burn is just better. Maybe In a slower meta it'll be better but rn burn is just more reliable.
Unfortunately rollback on the field only copies opponents traps in GY😔 which they literally never had all day. I guess you could get lucky if they discard an imperm for a diabellstar or something but it never came up once.
I actually am seriously considering siding them for certain matchups! You could go blazing mirror force then chain ceasefire, and just desserts for insane damage.
@@Seylanceit’s not a bad matchup since none of their stun cards really hurt us and it takes them forever to kill. You basically just keep flipping ceasefire, just desserts, ring of destruction and secret barrel/blast to slowly burn them down. I’m fairly confident we can burn them to 0 before they can beat us down.
It’s so that they fill their board with cards so my traps do more damage! If they have a lot of monsters and spells/traps on their board then you could literally win with only 4 cards if they’re hitting for 2k damage each, which is very doable with your battle burn cards hitting for 3k pretty consistently against most decks.
@@StephenMatrangolo thank you for replying! The opponent would still have to summon monsters even if you go first, but I think they would commit more cards to the field if you go 2nd. Makes sense. Again thanks!
@@davidgudd you got it! You obviously also get the extra card going second which can definitely make the difference, and you also automatically skip having to survive a battle phase! Also think about it, the only interruption in the deck is gravediggers and ring of destruction, what does going first allow us to do besides possibly stop 1 or 2 cards that we could just use going second? Most people will play into gravediggers even if you go second, they’ll activate a poplar or flamberge in GY or a saffira in hand. And obviously ring of destruction is almost always live. Also going second allows them to resolve multiple flamberges, which fills up their board even more for our burn cards!
@@StephenMatrangolo not sure but was wondering if a small numeron engine could give another option as the ED isn't used, or at least good bait? Although I recognise you wanna be baiting negates in their turn and not yours ideally, when you activate your other cards.
@@flamingcbgamer4069 it’s definitely possible, I just really don’t like drawing multiples of a card that doesn’t further my gameplan. Drawing 2 dead cards is basically an instant loss so I try to keep the deck as streamlined as possible. I was even considering cutting Ring of destruction down to 2 to minimize the chances of drawing 2 since it’s once per turn. But since it says you can ACTIVATE one per turn and not USE one per turn if they Baronne negate you can use a second one.
