🚴♂️ Hold on to your handlebars, folks, because we're embarking on an epic cycling adventure from Saskatchewan Crossing to Bow Summit on the jaw-droppingly beautiful Icefield Parkway! 🌄
First up on our tour-de-peaks is Mount Sarbach, which I like to call "Sarbach & Chill" - perfect for those laid-back, scenic moments. Next, we encounter Mistaya Mountain. Fun fact: "Mistaya" means "grizzly bear" in Cree, but don't worry, we only saw teddy bears on this trip.
Keep pedaling, because we've got Mount Patterson looming large. This guy stands tall like that one friend who never sits down at concerts. As we weave our way through this natural wonderland, we come across Mount Chephren and the stunning Waterfowl Lake, the best spot to take in Chephren’s majestic reflection. Named after an ancient Egyptian pharaoh, Chephren apparently wanted to see what all the fuss was about in Canada.
But here's where the real challenge kicks in. As we get closer to Bow Summit, it's payback time. Remember that easy downhill ride when you came the other way? Well, now it's time to dig deep and find that mental strength because this uphill climb is no joke. Your legs will be screaming, but the stunning views at the summit are totally worth it.
So, gear up and join me on this unforgettable ride. Remember, life is like a gravel bike - it’s all about enjoying the ride, bumps and all.
