I cannot see the tear from Damon's face... I've seen the slow motion a lot of times already! What i noticed was Elena/Nina smiled at the end before the end kiss...
I was on the slow motion video and someone pointed out that at the end when their sitting up and kissing, if you look really closely, you could see a tear falling from Damon's eye. If you love someone a whole lot, it will make you cry, and that tear was the perfect way to show it.

i am beyond overjoyed that they had this moment. it was so worth the wait and i dont believe that sire crap. even in season 3 when they kissed she was consumed by him and if it wasnt for jeremy at that time they would have done the same thing they did tonight. he just consumes her and Stefan not once flamed her this way!!!!

i can't help comparing her first time with stefan which is totally different.. sweet, gentle.. while damon and elena are pratically sucking each other's faces. it's passionate and steamy. it feels like they've been waiting forever to do this

This is exactly how i have felt. The writers are just trying to drag out the love triangle. No TVD will be about stopping the sire bond, stefan thinking him and elena are ok again and then elena realising she loved damon before the bond and what they had was true etc etc Its really annoyed me because Delena fell in love in season 3 after 2 seasons of attraction, and now the writers are trying to twist that and make everyone forget Damon was her protector before the bond&he always will be
Their love for eachother is real. It's passionate and consuming and beautiful. They just fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. I don't care about the sire bond. It's only another another obstacle that they are going to face throughout their relationship. And when the long awaited I love you comes out of Elena's mouth referring to Damon. That is going to prove that DELENA is official.

Ugh Caroline and Stefan's yapping at her house ruined the moment that we had waited four seasons for Damon and Elena together! I don't get the point of the whole sire bond plotline they put in here. After Elena got her humanity back, the sire bond was magically gone, so what was the point of having it in there. Also, I'm really mad that Caroline felt the need to tell Stefan what Damon and Elena were up to, whether they told Stefan, and when should've been Elena and Damon's choice, not Caroline's. Also, she's "dating" Tyler, and in love with Klaus, she doesn't get to nitpick at Elena's relationship with Damon. I get that she's freinds with Stefan, but that was out of line!!!

SO FUCKING PERFECT. Oh, and to those worried about the sire bond? " a sire bond does not influence emotions, love or sex." It just means now Damon will be upset for a little while until Elena convinces him the love really is real. I expect to hear those three words very soon, possibly before winter hiatus :D

omg i knew it! i had a feeling that this is what would happen...i seriously do hope that she proves to him just how much she loves him before other people start getting in the way and convince both of them that their love isn't real when it definatly is!!!!!
