Stangray DB4 hybrid sounds killer, compression and Jangly top end of the Stangray plus an effects loop and PPIMV but with all the chewy midrange, breakup, and bass punch of the DB4, lez go!
Can’t wait for the X-Ray to come out! Fingers crossed that it’ll be offered in a head version, I think it would sound AMAZING through my Dr Z 2x12 with Blues.
I just watched this today and had no idea a new amp was coming. Fantastic! I use my Maz Jr on my channel and at my gigs pretty much exclusively. All my videos over the last year have been the Maz. My Z-Lux mkii arrives this week! You guys such a great company.
@@DrZAmplification looks grey in the video, I guess silver will have to do... haha Is that the final production piece or will the whole thing be silver?
Interesting to think about the boutique amp market and 4x12 cabs. As a player the modern modelers are most convenient but the presence of a 4x12 is so viscerally satisfying. Z amps and lots of other boutique brands are popular with smaller speaker configs. It’s the form factor the market wants. That said…hey Z go whole hog and do a run of 100W heads with full stacks! Then some bass 8x10 fridges for good measure
I have a Marshall bottom, I switched out the 75's - excellent speakers as well - for Greenbacks. It was a good choice and I love it. Although I sometimes think they are a little too sugary sweet, and maybe not enough snap(?) for lack of a better description. What about 30 watt Anniversary?
I think it's whatever you get used to. Like if you usually play with reverb and then it isn't there, you miss it. If you play without and then add it, it feels like something clouding the clarity of what you are playing, at least to me.
