good old discovers got one myself very capable if you got traction control it's crazy good Grate seing how different cars from disco's to Nissan compare hard to find good videos with discos but mainly the video was nice to watch keep it up
Great video guys. Got a real soft spot for a nice disco 2. Question though, does old mate in the good disco have his centre diff locked? Doesn’t look like it in a few places. I had a 99 model that didn’t have it available on the low range lever but it’s still actually in the transfer case, you just have to climb underneath to lock it.
You have a couple of choices to put it to the lever, D1 mechanisms work or buy the additional cable opperated unit like in the later D2's, reletively easy to fit whichever way you go, but agree, centre diff lock is much better to have than not.
Hi Shane, thanks for the comment. The Gold disco doesn’t have the centre diff lock installed, it was like that from the factory. However, the black one does.
@@lowgearaustralia the gold one will still actually have the diff lock in the transfer case, it just doesn’t have it on the lever inside to select it. You can jump underneath with a 10mm open end spanner and lock it in manually. Believe me, it transforms the car.
@@overlandready yeh absolutely. I never got round to actually doing mine, I just used to climb underneath at the start of a day out and lock it manually.
Hi @@martybell7930, we had no major issues/hiccups on the day with the tracks we did. All cars performed well and those cars are not heavily modified either.
