I finally make a 4x4 trip into the Ghost PRA. Slowcook and a summit. / forestyforest Minivan Location: / @dadcam_can Summit Map: drive.google.c... / strava / forestyforest
Dude as a drone pilot i've watched your progress with your drone footage. And its absolutely insane man! You went from beginner to cinematic shots while driving! Great add-on to the show
I sat there trying to figure out why I like the foresty forest show... and I came up with so many answers it was amazing. It's a how to Home Building, outdoor adventure, cooking show and minimalist extravaganza. It is like no other show I've ever watched.
@@jonny_drury You still have to compose the shot, plan the waypoints (Altitude, heading airspeed, etc) , and drive correctly. FF does and outstanding job. I've seen dozens of van life channels that use a drone. Nobody else does it as well as FF does.
@@briancourtice2858 There are plenty of drones with "Follow me" auto settings, just tell it where it should be and how high and it'll do the rest. Great shots nonetheless.
Foresty, i gotta say, thank you. Bc of my anxiety and epilepsy, i really dont have many friends other than my lovely wife and family. So i guess, watching and listening to you helps. Thanks man.
If we could have seen your face when you shifted into 4 wheel drive I think we would have have seen a massive smile. Can't wait to see all the places you'll get to with the 4wd home.
I was smiling so hard you would have thought it was MY van! Then the classic 4wd stuck trick! Then the sheep enjoying your rock sliding antics! And finally...wait for it...the beer is FROZEN! Thanks for sharing the Foresty Forest world with us!
I was getting gas yesterday in Barstow... And i was listening to you on audio so when I got out to get gas I was singing the intro jingle and someone else recognized it!! We laughed and found out we're both subscribers..
“One drill to rule them all”...YO DRILL, suit up...get er’ done eh?! Home Depot is gonna miss you. Slow-cook vibes coming in HOT. My life is now complete. That little cubbyhole hole for Crock...applause, applause, APPLAUSE!! Our (subscribers) lives are about to get better because your adventures are BACK. HOORAY! Wishing you safe adventures ahead!!
It is pretty dang cool this is all working out, everything about this channel is great FF, we love it! My wife is not impressed with anything I do these days thanks to you.
I think you might be the only youtuber that I look forward to seeing weekly videos from. I’m not a van dweller, although I spent many months on tour living in a van very similar to this. I yearn for this lifestyle. You are someone I very much look up to Foresty! Thanks for all the amazing content. A true inspiration
It’s called “battery dependency”. That’s when you buy a cordless tool, and its battery will only fit another cordless tool of the same brand, so you buy another cordless tool of the same brand. Then you’re addicted.
We have been enjoying the build...learning a lot! So glad you got the crockpot out and had some ribs! Yum. And really excited to see you get to summit again! Thanks always for sharing! The grandson and I really enjoy...he says HI!
Oh the places you will go in your new van! Great idea eating on parchment paper. No plate to clean. Brilliant! Wow what a view from on top of the world.
Just a suggestion on getting stuck like that. It is easier to air down the tires to around 10 to 15 pounds which will give you more traction and then air them back up again when ready to drive in hard surface. A good air pump goes a long way. Just don't drive crazy and pop the bead them off the rim. They also make wheel bead locks so the bead cannot break in times like that with lower tire pressure.
Chains Foresty ,chains and weight in the rear . I had a Chevy C20 in up state New York , 300 lbs of sand tubes and chains applied and I could climb a tree ! Two wheel drive but if the snow floats the chassis, well you’re done .
Foresty climbs mountain, while holding selfie stick in one hand and sporting a genuine grin. Meanwhile, his audience is feeling a little dizzy sitting at the kitchen table.
First slow cook in the new van, of course RIBS! Glad you got out for another back country exploration. Its good for the soul. Getting close to being done the build, exciting.. Nate
"Gotta move along pretty quick to make this summit" now here is 40 camera shots for you, no problem loland those goats are like " no way! Is that forestry forest"?
Look into getting a rear differential locker for that deeper snow. They're not cheap but if you can lock the rear it will help out tremendously. Front locker if you can afford that too would also be super beneficial. I'd contact Quigley to see what your options are at least starting out with a rear locker.
The goats were saying to each other , look at that silly human trying to climb our mountain. When he reaches the summit they look at each other and exclaim in unison , no wonder , It's Foresty Forest. lol.
Glad you are back out in the wild! I love that you kept so many windows in your van. I'm sure at some point window coverings may help to conserve heat, but having the beautiful views in the morning/ early evening must be nice.
Tires are just as important as 4 wheel drive when it comes to off-roading an snow. Can't remember if this van has a winch. I don't think it does. You should add one.
Nice having 4wd. Just remember that having 4wd does not my mean you will never get stuck. It just means when you do get stuck, you will really be stuck...
These are some of the best videos I have ever seen. Cooking, van life, mountaineering, engineering, and the best natural landscapes in the world. Congratulations sir. Bravo
this makes me so happy! love your channel man. You're such an inspiration for what life can be. I'm working in a metal shop and just hating my life but im saving as fast as possible to get out on the road. I took a vw gti from the east- west coast a few times just camping and crashing wherever and it's still been the most exciting adventure of my life. Cheers
Great to see you back in action. Consider an Eaton locking rear end. Also look into airing down and airing up your tires. It can certainly help when trying to traverse slow rough roads.
I remember this fella. I've seen his videos. He was crammed in a tiny little minivan. Good job on the Chevy van. I gots me a Chevy van. Make sure you drive your Chevy to the levee and see if it's dry
Yes yes, I’m late catching up here in Chester UK but absolutely brill to finally see some 4x4 foresty forest action never mind a crock pot session too. Your spoiling us. Stay safe man and get up those mountains 🏔👍🏻😎
Gosh I miss Canada. I lived there 10 years ago. I'm in Scotland, and we have beautiful mountain ranges, but nothing compares to Canadaaaaaaa!!! Thanks for the vids :)
May 2022 and I just went back and watched the build of the Express van to this point. Imagine the sense of accomplishment, from bare floored new van to being back in the wild with the first real meal cooked and first summit done. That must have felt great. Really something to be proud of.
