We recently past 4yrs in our Nucamp TAG teardrop trailer and have gone over 100k miles in it, year round camping from blizzards and extreme temps below zero to remote off road adventures we have done it all. You won't find anyone who has used their T@G Trailer as much as we have.

I am about 47 and keeping in mind ...to get a land lot with conifer trees along a saltwater lake in Nova Scotia. (There is a duck parasite in freshwater lakes...along the shore when heats up, so always good to find land with swimming areas where rivers cycle out the water.) Staying flexible with home options, so one day, may put up a very toasty in winter hemp block tiny house...and pull a 30' car hauler with gooseneck for various town trips. So if able you get time in favorite natural area with buildsite and use modular trailer for loading construction, gardening, or shopping bundles. Long enough to add solar air conditioning to have bed in the gooseneck...with a Jotul firebox, stovepipe and esp particle smoke filter for overnight stays. Just idea, a plan to keep interior simple with small oak barrels for fresh and dishwater. Dry toilet...so no winterizing needed. Maybe keep electric cooler in truck cab with blanket over it.

No garage here, but ours stands ready to go in the storage facility, we pack our clothes and some food and pick up the trailer on the way to our destination.

Thanks for the review. Will be picking up our TAG Black Canyon edition soon. It checked long list of boxes and appears to be good for easy to somewhat moderate off road travel. Looks like Alstrom Point in one of your pictures. If so then it's good to know it can handle that type of road. I also like the ability to garage the TAG and have it ready to go at any time. I think the TAG is worth the extra price tag for its build quality and options. Thanks again.

Congrats you guys will love it! Yes it can handle a decent amount of off road. We did get it out to Alstrom, we have a video of it in our Utah playlist. We took our time and went slower than maybe something more equipped but its been a blast. Thanks for stopping by!! let us know how you like it

Since we don't camp, I still got something out of this video, and that is, "I don't recommend sleeping in -16-degree temperatures" TY😂🥶 Patti and I would be Class A campers! Give us luxury as best as possible, but for you guys, you can't tow a Class A with your truck 😁
@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 5 месяцев назад
lol yeah you guys could easily do a class A, way to big for me to drive and yes avoid the negative temps when camping. Thanks for stopping in

Great job of year round camping you two ! I also have 2020 tag, its an XL Limited Edition. I just bought a diesel heater, I can"t wait to use it. What did you say ? 16 below, w/no heat ! No thank you ! At 25 degrees this winter in Montana w/no heat was pushing my comfort level. I had to plug the 2 outside AC vents to stop the cold air drafts from coming in. Great video !
@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 5 месяцев назад
Thank you my friend!!! Yeah we don't make a habit of being in it below zero much anymore lol Lots of extra blankets and layers. The diesel heater should be perfect, we are hoping to get back to Montana this summer, loved when we went a few years ago!!

Neat little unit, but no heater in it? I have a bushwhacker teardrop made by braxton creek. It's a budget-oriented unit and you can tell in some of the build quality but people really like them as they are a great modification platform. But it's got a heater in it that will practically cook us if we let it run too much. We attach an ARB awning room to the side which I've modified to fit to and seal around the passenger side teardrop door. Anyhow, love the teardrops.

The bushwhackers are nice and definitely a great option to get into the tiny camper life. We have a little plug in heater we got from Walmart. They started putting heaters in our model I think in 2022. Thanks for stopping by

You can't talk about teardrops without talking actual price. I'm not sure what the going rate was 4 years ago when you bought yours, but how these are the same price as a used Honda baffles me. I don't want to be negative, but yikes. Keep up the good work !! Can't wait for spring !!

Ours was $16k at the RV show, MSRP was $23k at the time. Prices did spike during covid years, I think its coming down some. There are some bargains to be had used though.

@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 2 месяца назад
right now its sitting around 35 a little low but normally at 40, but honestly its probably been at 35 for several months now, we are on the go so much I forget to check it and air up a little. We have not had any issues though, I like it a little softer cause I feel like these things bounce so easy on bumps etc so with the softer sidewalls and a little less air it cushions it some. Have not seen any negative treadwear either. Thanks for stopping in!!

Question , can you run the AC with a generator?
@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 2 месяца назад
With a regular gas generator yes, on a solar lithium battery type generator it would be very tough, you would need a huge capacity 2000w plus and even then it wouldn't run long
@lambo_and_doc

So out of curiosity what are your ages, do you find it hard getting in and out. Do you carry a porta potty?
@Live2dayWanderland
@Live2dayWanderland 5 месяцев назад
We are late 40s, she is in better shape than I am and generally does fine. I'd say getting in is easier than getting out. I have a bad knee but manage fine. Being overweight always makes things harder but I do exercises and lift weights 2-3 times a week. I fully believe you have to keep moving and doing some stuff that may be uncomfortable just to keep the gears moving. All that said the day may come when we need something bigger but hopefully not for a long time. We have the joolca en suite single shower tent and we bring a luggable loo as our toilet solution.
