Rod bought this 1984 Hurst Oldsmobile BRAND NEW, daily drove it for many years after that and somewhere along the way it got transformed into America’s fastest street car: Sorceress! Twin-turbo V8, 5,000 horsepower, and carbon fiber everything. The only thing that hasn’t changed about it is that it’s STILL daily driven, wild! I'd love to see this and the AWD Cutlass on This vs That They're both Hurst/Olds, they're both boosted V8s, they're both carbon-fiber intensive, and the AWD plus the unprepped surface would help make up for the horsepower gap.

This thing is wild!!! Years ago I drove a 2500 horsepower GTO on the strip, I couldn't imagine trying to maintain composure on the streets with double that 😳 My daily at the time put 780 to the wheels, that was a rowdy bitch as well. This man is the best friend I never had!!

For some scale... twin 88mm turbos have an inlet area of 12,164mm², and 2x 110mm turbos = 19,006mm² inlet area... that's 18.85sq inches to 29.5sq inches

This is a point of contention, but Tom Bailey has the fastest street car in America. because he doesn't strip a bunch of heavy parts off his car for races, and was first to run 5 seconds in a drag week event. This car has gone faster mph faster but Tom has the fastest ET of 5.77 250mph. and ET is all that matters in the drags for bragging rights.

This car may in fact the the fastest (which is why he answered the 260.2 MPH from the drag strip), while the world’s quickest street car is Tom Bailey with a 5.68 (or low 5.70 can’t remember) 1/4 mile time, and first car to finish a drag and drive event with a 5 second pass - 5.99 when it happened. Not to take anything away from this dudes car, but I haven’t seen it finish or compete at the drag and drive events, so Tom Bailey definitely wins baddest street driven car.
