Sorry, idk what happened to this video and the ghosting... I already uploaded it and deleted my original files, so unless I re-film and re-upload, it is what it is I guess. :(
Last Line Of Defense great vid's man, I had lurked for so long before becoming a subscriber and look forward to your videos. In your opinion which of the different style of tactical pants that you have tried so far, would you say has a true or close to true slim fit as possible?
I bought these at a 5.11 store in person, and got the whole run down on these pants. The pocket in the pant leg cuff is another hidden hand cuff key. These pants were designed for undercover ops in warm climates (they are fine in the cold too, I wore mine all winter), thats why theres a hidden flex cuff slot, and 2 hidden hand cuff key slots. By far the most conferrable pants I have ever worn in my life, the crotch and seat are very roomy yet not bulky. the entire crotch is spandex so your crotch can breath and it dosnt pinch. you can hold a lot of gear on these with out them pulling down (I have a 5.11 Trainer belt 1.5") - very secure fit, all the cargo pockets are divided and designed to hold rifle magazines, and support is evenly distributed. Worth every penny in my opinion. Also the size is spot on, whatever your size is, order these in them - all 5.11 pants are true size, I havnt had an issue yet with my size being different in different styles.
I love these pants. I were the navy blue version everyday on duty so they are used a lot on the streets of Vegas. I've tried various pants and these are my favorite. As a matter of fact I just bought a pair for off duty just because the cargo pockets are dang near invisible which I love.
I live in Vegas and wondered about how hot these pants are compared to other 5.11 pants. Want to buy them for them for a certain hot climate that im deployed in.
Not only is this a great tactical pant, but it is an amazing traveling pant, especially for traveling on a plane. Verrrrry comfortable and non-descrip so as to maintain a low profile. Fabric stretches and very cool.
These are my favorite pants, I have them in 3 different colors , super comfy and they just work. I love the low profile cargo, You can barely tell they are even there. Great vid mike!
The APEX pant is issued to CIA field operatives for a low vis tactical pant. The hidden pocket in the leg is a handcuff key pocket as well. We just released the Capital pant in the 5.11 Jacksonville store. Basically a new version of the APEX. Check them out!
The 511 apex are my favorite pair of pants. After watching your defender flex video, I went to the 511 store to try them out. I ended up buying two pairs of the apex instead. I'm waiting for the straight leg version of the defenders. Your videos are great sir. Thanks for your time.
I love these and the Stryke TDU pants. I work as a Correctional Officer and work at least 12 hours a day. The standard issue uniform is some unbranded baggy BDU type of pants while functional they were way to baggy for my taste and once I got these Instantly sold, tactical enough to carry all my shit while being light and comfortable. Bought 6 pairs total 4 for work and 2 for casual.
Being a former Marine MP I've worn probably "every" tactical pant on the market. For functionality, price and fit; LAPG Atlas pants and the BFE stretch pants beats them all.
Great video. I have been wearing the 5.11 stryke pants for 5 years now and love them. One of the best features to me is that the cargo pockets don't ride below the knee. Nothing worse than putting something heavy in the cargo pocket and having it rub against my calf all day. Are the Apex cargo pockets above the knee as well? Thanks and keep up the great reviews!
These are my favorite pants ever, now called the Ridge pant. I like a much more aggressive tapered leg than most, so I usually take them to a tailor and get them tapered from the knee down to a 14in circumference at the foot opening. Perfect for me, just the right amount of loose around the thigh and just the right amount of tight around the calf and ankle. Freedom of movement is great, and much reduced sound and wear from kicking the bottom hem. Plus this style of cut adds a very subtle cyberpunk techwear aesthetic quality
Dude same! The newer Meridian pant are excellent as well. Fit is almost the exact same, just a little bit more low profile, a softer, lighter just as shell like material. Best pants I own and I only wear both exclusively. Everything in terms of pocket layout, material and aesthetic on both are top tier
Just took my apex pants off a little earlier. I like them, but I think my stryke pants are more comfortable. Both pairs of pants are great tho. I like to stick my extra pistol magazine in the back left mag pocket, especially since I do not use an IWB holster with a spare mag carrier.
These are good pants! I wear them everyday for my work. I love cargo pants, but I'm turned off by the big flappy flaps that most cargo pants have for every day out in public wear. These pants are more technical and they don't scream tactical.
Any chance of a short video discussing what kind of fitness stuff you are into also. I think fitness is pretty important to self defense and would like to see your take on it.
I've got these pants in a 36/36 which is my usual size but the Apex is really baggy. The worst problem though is that I like to wear by belt pretty tight and that causes these pants to bunch up a heap. It's kind of a shame because otherwise I really like the pants.
When have you been wrongfully detained by law enforcement before? My buddie was joking about using it when he bolts from the squad car after his first dui arrested to come
My new favorite pant, I wear these 5 days a week and can’t find anything I don’t like about them. I have Stryke’s that do nothing but hang out in the closet since I found the Apex.
I've got these pants and they are very comfortable to wear. They have a fairly low waist band. I find that loading the pockets out feels very strange as the pants seem to be bouncing out everywhere. For me these trousers are for casual / office wear and trail hiking.
Ha ha you finally made the review. I was hoping that you would enjoy them a little more. These are my go to pant for just about every situation. Love them for the summer time due to they are slightly in my opp cooler. I've hiked in these, city walking and church. Also I may add they due shed a fare amount of water. Thanks for the video's.
I think they put two handcuff key pockets because if you are handcuffed from behind you can reach for the key on back handcuff key pocket and if you are handcuffed on your front, you reach for the key on your left leg. sorry for my grammar. i"m not that good in English.
The hidden pocket in the waist is ok, but the "hidden" pocket on the ankle can be spot a mile away. A useful customization could be: you have them tapered around the ankle, thus removing the "hidden" pocket (quite pointless, actually), and then you can sew it inside one of the front pocket as a coin pocket, or anywere else you think you may need it.
I like that you actually wear the pants so I can see how they fit. If some people bitch about it they are watching for some strange reasons that I simply am not looking for. Reviews that are just table top for pants suck.
I agree with the rest on being one of my favorite RU-vid channel. I wait for you to review items before I will buy them funny how I'm very happy with the items I buy. Great reviews and channel keep up the great work👍👍👍
I ordered a pair and the stitching started to fall apart at the knee after one day in an office setting and one wash. I emailed 511 over a week ago and havent heard back. I expected more for $80.
According to LLOD that he had stated in some of videos, his physical stats are as follows: height: 5 feet 10 inches tall, weight: 180 pounds, and pants size: 32 waist by 32 length.
Just purchased this product as well as the Vertx Phantom ops. The Vertx seems to be made to be more durable? I do like the feel and look of the Strke 5.11 better for my job. All are new and I'm not sure how durable any are yet but as said the Vertx just feels like is the more durable of the three but as stated I like the looks/pockets of the 5.11 Stike the best.
So I have a question for you what is the best pants for every day carry I'm a food delivery person and get in and out of my car a lot and walk around a lot in all kinds of weather so what do you recommend?
So, I think you should try out the LAPD pants now that you've tried all the expensive guys. I have the Apex and the 5.11 Taclite's, and I honestly enjoy my LAPG Operator's better.
Kuhl pants seem to have fewer pockets up high / up front than I like - but I'll look through their models and see if there are maybe some that'd be a better fit for me.
Hi i watch your Vlog, love your reviews ... my queries is i am between 31 to 32 waist and i normally wear size 32 for my pants, recently I bought the 5.11 Stryke pants in 32 waist but it was a little lose, so should I go for size 31 or 32 in the 5.11 Apex pants please suggest, looking forward to it 🙏
Hi i have problem with blown crotch jeans. googled, reddited and quora-ed and found 5.11 pants for its durability for my despatch job using motorcycle. Just wanna find out a last question about which pant is more suitable for me mostly riding bike and walking alot everyday under hot sun and passing rains. Apex or stryke? Cheers
Can someone help? I dont know which ones to go with but I need a pair for paintball, the range, that is slim and not too excessive. I'm kinda a minimalist
Question for you guys who have these. Do these have enough stretch for AIWB carry in your normal size or is going up in size recommended? I'm 6 ft. 205 lbs and normally wear a 38 size waist, and carrying AIWB in my blue jeans is doable but uncomfortable.
I'll check out LA Police Gear's current selection. I had an old pair of tactical pants by them a couple years back and they were great for the money - but they were just kind of the typical, baggy, very tactical looking pant.
I agree with this video that this is no doubt one of the best pants I own. The waist line is nicely trimmed/flexible and comfortable with plenty of room in the legs for movements. I like the pocket options and the construction seems very sturdy. I bought a pair in the battle Brown and they look great. My only drawback is the inseam. If you are like me and need a 31" inseam (which most companies don't make) then you'll have to see a tailor. I like my pants to fit just right and not a big fan of too much bunched up material at the ankle. I got it in a 30" inseam, but after a quick wash it was a bit too short. Wearing it with my Safariland one-trap holster at the range caused my pant leg to rise too high. If you are about my size (5'9"), then get the 32" inseam and maybe get it trimmed. Other than that, great pair of pants.
Hey could you review the Propper tactical brand of pants? It's just a bit more affordable in terms of a tactical pair of pants. I frequent the tacticalgear website!
Curious if you have had a chance to try out the Boxer Tactical Apogee belt? If you have, what are your thoughts? Thanks for the great videos. Always look forward to seeing them.
Do you cut your pant legs with a scissor? Do you put your pant on with a forcep? When you wash your pant, do you use little sud for the purpose of saving? A pant is medieval clothing. A pant is one tube (hose) for each leg that had to be tied to the other pant at the waist after being individually put on. What we wear today are pants. Pants is a plural word, even if 5.11 refers to pants on their site erroneously as pant. The same thing goes for panties.
I've never actually put that much thought into it but it's so weird hearing you say pant. I still say pants (majority people do) even when I'm just talking about one! Will never be the same 😂😂 I know it's the correct way but you know..
Haha it totally sounds weird, and I still *usually refer to a single pair of pants, as 'pants' - but I guess I'm guilty of also being weird and saying 'pant'.
Tim Kennedy (sponsored by 5.11), in a recent interview with Lance Armstrong, said the solution to the gun problem is a gun ban, then proceeded to give a completely inaccurate explanation on how the background check, to get a firearm, works. Wow. Don’t take my word for it, watch it for yourself it’s at the 11 minute mark in the video. Will second guess purchasing from 5.11 now.
