if you're looking for what the TIER system is and how that works don't waste your time here. It's basically only "Hey look at our Rush 72" and nothing else.
Was looking for instructions about the TIER system. Got this 8-minute lengthy video with only 10 seconds talking about the system. It is a clickbait don't try to defend it.
I have a black, 24 hour version. Absolutely the greatest backpack I have ever owned. I carry it every single day, I abuse it, stuff it full of everything I can think of and still have room. My 24 hour can carry my 21" laptop, something no other bag does. I love it. Buy one. Got mine on Amazon for $110 and worth every penny, would give double that for it.
This was the best back pack I have ever bought! I have the Rush 72 Black, and it's four and a half years old and still strong! never had an issue with it! love it! I have a second double taps 72, 24, and a moab 10, love them all!
I love my rush 24! looks so nice, is well stitched and high quality. Water just beads up and rolls right off. So many pockets for organization and modularity. This will last me for years.
Literally my only complaint about the Rush 100, is it's internal organization. Had potential to be one of the best packs out there with the way it carries weight so well. Just needs more internal organization instead of being a giant dump bag.
As a loyal and consistent consumer of your products I would personally love to see a crossover between you LV series and the rush series. That would be amazing!
I actually ran an obstacle course race with a 5.11 Tactec plate carrier with two 8.75 weight plates in along with a Rush 24 pack that belonged to my teammate. I was super surprised how comfortable the pack was; much better than my old Marine Corps ilbe 3 day assault pack. I think it’ll be great for certain endurance events I plan on doing next year.
@511Tactical Love my 72! Hauls all I need. Just one issue with the straps, the webbing needs to be about 6-8" longer. Using a bladder (in the provided pocket), wearing a plate carrier and using a Mystery Cinch was a no go. I have to move the bladder into the main pouch to get straps into the cinch. I've been beating this bag up in A'stan for a couple months and it takes the abuse.
He's got a paracord bracelet... This is legit guys. In all seriousness I just got the Rush 72; great pack! Can't wait to try it up some scottish mountains.
I just got my Ruch 72 in FDE and although I have not had a chance to load it up yet, I would like a slightly larger version, maybe closer in size to the 5.11 Responder 84 pack. I also like the "Load Lifters" on the Responder 84. At 6'2" the Rush 72 is not that big of a pack for me, despite what many reviewers are saying. A Rush series Pack about 3 inches taller with the "Load Lifters" would be a perfect size pack for me! I'm still very happy with my Rush 72, it will be my EDC bag.
@511Tactical I do a lot of extended camping, sometimes up to two weeks. I've seen the photos of the M.O.A.B. tier'd with the Rush 72. Could I tier two Rush backpacks together? It would most likely be the 72 and 24.
Are these new RUSH Packs sold only at 5.11's site? I bought another RUSH 72 at Optics Planet and got the older version. LOVE IT!!! But I still want the newer one with improvements.
Love, love my Rush 72! Best pack I've ever owned. Carried mine in Iraq for 9 months in 2009. It really does hold the whole world in it. The only problem I have ever had is that the stiching has parted on the left shoulder strap on the outside seam. I have been able to 'fix' it (I hope) with superglue. Has this been an issue at all?
I've been trying to find a pack I really like with organization I need for my my gear. I really want a hip belt 45L capacity with side pouches for a GI style water bottles. The best I've found for organization has sadly been the Outdoors Quest pack sold at Walmart, but it's capacity is around 30L. It's almost perfect accept for I want more capacity, a hip belt, a hatchet loop, and some bottom straps for a blanket roll. Still searching, but I've not found a perfect pack.
I have all 3 bags. Great bags. Cannot live without them. The one thing I never understood is how do you attach the other bags to each other?, as they dont have any buckles on top and bottom, and in the video it shows a moab 10 being attached. Any help? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 👍
thx for the info, I just wanted to order one in flat dark earth. will look for other options now., the old model isn't as appealing as the upgraded one, and I don't want to run around with MC or Sandstone…
What color is this I revived the same one twice I ordered Sandstone pretty sure i got tac green looks exactly like the one there showing here SO WHAT COLOR IS THE ONE IN THIS VIDEO THERE DEMONSTRATING ??? SANDSTONE ??? TAC GREEN ????
Please Help! I am seriously considering buying the Rush 72 hour bag but I need to know does the TAC OD or green colored bag have all the upgrades that the new bags do, The most Important to me is the lashing straps on the bottom of the bag because I have a modular sleep system and that would be the best way to travel with it since it weighs a lot, The reason I need the green is because I live in new england and most of the MOLLE attachments I have are in OD green.
Does the tier setup have to be backpack+MOAB or could you tier together a Rush 72 and a Rush 12? I'm planning to get a 72 and then either a Rush 12 or a MOAB 10 for my EDC bag. I'm not wild about sling bags as a rule, I'd rather have a backpack, but I'm worried the 12 will be too big tiered up to the 72. Any advice?
I have the 72, 24 and moab 10. Moab 10 is like my EDC. I keep 24 in my truck as a get home bag and the 72 as a last resort bug out bag. Moab 10 will tier up with my 24 pack. If going home is not an option.
just buy the moab 10 from my local dealer, and I found that it's a great bag for everyday carry. But I found it quite hard to put all of my stuff for camping purpose ( I know it wasn't intended for that, but I want to try it anyway..). Since it could be attach to other 5.11 backpacks, I think a 24 would make a great companion for it. The problem is the only rush 24 available on the local dealer is an older version, can you please tell me the difference between the old rush 24 and the new one?
Hi i just received a moab 10 from 5.11 and was wondering are the tier system straps included or do i need to buy them separately? Cause i have seen a few reviews where people got them when they bought the bag
when the rush72 and moab10 are connected via tier system and loaded, does the pack wear awkward and lopsided? i would think having the extra weight on the rear on the pack(moab10) would be uncomfortable...
I'm going to purchase a 72 hour pack I just don't want black and that seems the only color that has matching molle attachment pouches made by you guys so Is sandstone on the pack the same color called earth on the molle attachment pouches made by you
I think the dark earth is closer to O.D green, but I feel you on that one I bought mine in O.D green and then afterwards realized most 5.11 attachments don't come in O.D
Personally I think the Double Tap bag color with black add-on pouches looks good. I have the Mike messenger bag in Double Tap with the 6.10 horizontal pouch in black: i.imgur.com/YW8y9fQl.jpg
what is the colour of the bag that is being demonstrated on? Also do the MOAB's come int he same colour schemes as the Rush 72? (the online shops ive looked at dont seem to...
please help ...i live in italy and i really want to buy this bag for carry on plane travellying but here the mesurments are 50 - 55 x40x20cm and i saw that the size of the pack on amazon is listed as 56 cm ...if i don't fill it up like crazy could it be possibile to gain anywhere near 5 cm of hight?? thank you so much!!
Yes, I travelled by airplane to Italy with this pack and there was no problem with it, wouldn't recommend hanging any extra pouches on it if you are going to take it in the plane though.
Thank you, I just got my pack last week and is amazing. Built to last, can carry a lot of weight, and carries a lot of supplies. I am using it as my every day carry, fits extra set of clothes, use the front compartment as a med kit, and every thing I need for a long trip or hike. The best pack I have bought.
Buggy Vision I still bought the 72 hr pack. Use it nearly every time I have gone hiking the past month. Love it. The extra weight adds some to my exercise (pack weighs 5 lbs alone), but it shouldn't be too bad if you're already in good enough shape.
i want to buy it for a carry on bag on plane as a hand bag couse ill be travelling a bit so i can't bring another bag....and of course ill be using it as a hicking bag but for me its to small ...i use a italian 70+ liter backpack with an external frame for when i go camping ,it's a beast and the material is a cordura that's even more stronger than the usual maxpedition 1000d stuff...but for a day hike the 5.11 is more than perfect...thank you for the info ,much apreciated !!!
