@@hvadskalvihedde2512 But was it actually in this video? A tornado requires changing winds, and I didn't see that. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see a tornado in this particular video.
@@sameeknowsitall Thanks. 👍 Hate these pessimists or 'critics' thinking they're wise n smart when they're just being toxic and under-appreciative for no reason to act 'hard' on these media platforms. They need to get outside a little, lol.
Actually they have good reason to doubt. That genuinely appears to be normal straight line thunderstorm winds, it’s likely the tornado was either not seen in the footage or was in a different area.
It depends on how the wind is blowing because an average person will be moved by 67 mph straight line winds but to lift them up there will have to be an updraft of about 60-75 mph (this is for an average person around 175 lbs) and a body area of 7.7 ft
well it was a Confirmed EF0 - Shingles were damage a large tree was uprooted and tree branches were downed and the tornado traveled 0.43 km and was up to 30 yd wide
Must not have been close to the circulation, though. My house was hit by an EF-0. It tore enough shingles off the roof that the insurance company paid for an entirely new roof, a giant tree next door was felled and destroyed a neighbor's fence, the neighbor's carport roof was twisted off its supports and flung into my yard nearly hitting my house, and my garbage cans were carried 50 yards down the street, and there was a damage path in the neighborhood where trees were toppled. That's what an EF-0 does, not the light breeze shown here.
Tornadoes are assessed based on damage, not direct observation of wind speed. What you're describing are actually official damage indicators and, while they can occur in an EF-0, they're on the higher end of what one can do, and realistically mean that it was probably a stronger tornado whose maximum winds missed better indicators. The normal wind speeds to blow over a hardwood tree or do more than superficial damage to a well-built roof are in the EF-1 range (in the latter case, only the absolute lower bound falls into the EF-0 range). What's seen in this video is actually more typical. The winds look like a significant microburst, with gusts of around 70-80 mph. If this wasn't close to the center of circulation, then the tornado's center of circulation may have just not hit anything.
People always say , oh the winds only went one direction therefor not a tornado. The only time it WILL change is if its right on top of you. You can be in a tornado or film one from the side of it and you will only see one wind direction.
Repent and trust in Jesus. We all deserve Hell for our sins, such as lying lusting coveting and more. We can't save ourselves, but Jesus can save us. He died on the cross to save us for our sins and rose from the grave defeating death and Hell. You must put your faith in him only. He is the only way to Heaven. Repent and trust in Jesus. Romans 6:23 John 3:16❤😊❤❤
It's not always that. It has to deal with the wind shift or, in this video, the lack of. When a tornado passes by or nearby, there will always be a notable wind shift as it is a cyclonic motion around the vortex.
@@Weatherforce11 Tornadoes can often have broad rotation so the winds can look somewhat “straight” in a close angle shot like this. Additionally, if the viewer is in the outer bands, that can be even more prevalent. Instead of saying the video’s author is lying, maybe try asking if they have a storm report link to confirm instead of being a know-it-all who might (and it sounds like they might, considering they stated so-that it was rate EF0).
@@Imfromtheyear3452 I’m definitely not saying that they’re lying at all. I mean honestly I would have no reason to state that. Sometimes people do confused tornadoes versus straightline wind I mean I’ve seen it all the time when I’m out talking to people who have been impacted by both. I do agree with your assertion. Usually though weak tornadoes especially have a very small area of concentrated vorticity unlike larger sometimes stronger tornadoes. So it all depends.
@@Weatherforce11 size versus strength are not as strongly correlated as is often asserted. Additionally, weak tornadoes can often leave damage paths that resemble straight-line wind events, as trees will fall in one direction since the strongest side of the tornado’s rotational velocity is added to the forward speed of the storm, whereas the north side (typically) is rotating in the opposite direction as the storm’s progress meaning a lower overall wind speed. This commonly leaves trees down in the direction of the tornado’s travel.
@@FCGOATPLAYER EF-1 would snap and uproot those trees. Trust me, had a 43 year old just 15 ish miles to my north die to a EF-1 twister back on August 19, 2011. I know what EF-1 damage looks like.
Wow, people being smarta$ses and 'hard 'uns' in the comments as usual on Socials but even those being ~ 80mph winds is still pretty frightening - but also awe-inspiring! Hope no one was hurt - but this in a way is more of a spectacle than the big boys as it's so up close & personal and the camera equipment actually survives the drama! 💫
Id like to watch a tornado from a far away distance but not in the path of a tornado ! Ive only remember one tornado going past the home I grew up in but it did not hit here ! It hit like 20 blocks away thank God ! I guess I did look them up and 66 have hit West Allis just never hit by me ever ! We had a few too but never hit by me always somewhere else in West Allis ! I live in West Allis near the Fair Park where it hit 1975 . They said two hit West Allis 1962 1977 and 1975 but only recall the one in 1975 when it was over the house I grew up in ! I was 19 !
Strait line winds, most likely from an outflow boundary. No tornado here! Wind direction would change with it passing but you can see the trees only blow one direction throughout the video.
