5:43pm - picture frames (guitar/ambient) 

picture frames is an experimental project by los angeles based, 22 y/o artist, shaan chhadva. it is the musical equivalent of a time capsule - I wanted to share music here that perfectly captured a moment of time in their raw farm, without much polish. each song is recorded in a single take, often directly onto a vintage tape machine. with no re-dos or editing, I wanted to allow all my "mistakes" to remain intact
i title each song with the exact time it was recorded, turning them into musical timestamps of moments in my life
on the 26th of december 2023, i made an entire album in a day -my first picture frame :) the entire process was documented by my friends, some of it on super8 film! (you might hear the fluttering of camera motors in the recordings lol) also, huge shoutout to my friend aric, who lent me his tape machine and helped engineer the project!
in 7 hours, 35 minutes, and 14 seconds, we recorded 11 different songs. these are some of my favorite songs in the whole world
