Re-uploaded from an archived news website. An MBTA train coming up to CP4 on track main 2 when it collided with a Conrail TrailVan train crossing over from main 2 over to Beacon Park Yard Lead 3.
The 1100 was former GM&O F3A. I saw this one and many others in Paducah,Ky where they were stored waiting for rebuild for the MBTA. Note, there were many IC E8s there also but they wanted the F's for rebuild. Also in the deadline was GM&O's only F7A number 811B. Retired in 1977. Apparently 811B was scrapped. There were also many former UP SD24's there including the B unit variety. These were rebuilt into SD26's for the IC. These ran for many, many years.
